I think the concern is the lack of any kind of snout. The comic version was more of an alligator/dinosaur-type look. So he kind of comes off looking like voldemort in the face.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
Um...it looks like the goomba from the 1993 Super Mario Brothers movie.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
Looks like someone photoshopped the made-up head of an actor onto the body of one of the Visitors from the recent V-series.

Yeah I think he'd look better with the clothes too. Throw his lab coat on and maybe some torn up pants or something and it could look okay. Something in the face just seems off to me though..

yeah...I'm not minding the look so much..but I do wish he had his clothes too. You know..the white lab coat would've been nice.
That image reminds me of Godzilla 1996 |

Wouldn't untold story signify we haven't heard/read/seen the origin like 1000 times already?

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
Great poster, shit tagline.
|
Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
Looks like his shadow is taking a massive dump. Still, cool concept...

The Untold Story
Yeah right. Like we care to know how he grew up with that fucking afro. rotfl |
Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
Every time I see something new about this movie I try to get excited about it but it seems to just let me down more...the poster is kinda lame in my opinion. The tag line is pretty shitty too.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
yeah..that tagline is pretty shitty.l

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
Add another +1 for "Untold Story, WTF?!" Cool design otherwise.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
looks like Peter Parker's got the "drunk girl urinating behind a Walmart dumpster" stance down pat.

"The Untold Story" probably refers to the story of his parents, not the origin.
I really doubt they will use Spoiler:

I think they worked for OsCorop in this one...I thought I read that here..somewhere.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
Pete's shadow taking a power dump on the poster really does seem to convey the tone of this film. The lazy tagline is just giving you the middle finger for added measure.

Yeah right. Like we care to know how he grew up with that fucking afro. rotfl I thought movie producers were known to not use big-breasted actresses in Hollywood because it would cause the audience to stare at the breast. I think they forgot to apply the same strategy when hiring Garfield. I can't take my eyes off his huge head or huge hair. A dark poster and The Untold Story....great...The Spiderman franchise is getting reverse-Joel Schumacherized. It's Batman movies that need to be dark, not Spiderman movies! And don't forget the epic scene of The Lizard scaring or eating sorority girls in the bathroom. |
Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
If you're deadset on Spiderman reboot so close to Raimi's, then I see no other way to go OTHER than dark and brooding. We JUST had colorful and (relatively) light hearted...

I'm all for a reboot that will make us forget about this:
