Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
I just caught Spidey 2 on HBO the other night and to me it really hasn't held up that great. Hopefully this new adaptation can bring something different to the table. Still not sure I'm sold on the guy they've got playing Spider-Man though..

Exclusive: Sony's New 'Spider-Man' Villain Is ... The Lizard!
Rhys Ifans will play Dr. Curt Connors, better known as The Lizard, in Marc Webb's "Spider-Man," TheWrap has learned.
There had been rumors across the blogosphere that Sony was thinking of bringing back Venom for the franchise reboot, but that character will not be featured in the movie, two individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap.
Andrew Garfield stars as Peter Parker, while Emma Stone will play Gwen Stacy, who rivals Mary Jane Watson for Spidey's affection.
Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin are producing the movie, which begins production in December.
"Spider-Man" will hit theaters in 3D on July 3, 2012.

I'm going to put some things down in spoilers. For those that know me... it's a gem, for those that don't... take it for what it's worth. And remember... this is for a 2012 release so a lot can change or very little can change. Don't ask, don't tell.....
Can't go any further with details.
I forgot to add....

Thanks devilshalo, I never thought I'd live to see an Aunt May anal sex scene.

I should have stuck with my original verbiage: "Thanks for the info, devilshalo. But I though Emma Stone had a non-nude clause in all her contracts?"

Just read that Martin Sheen is going to be playing Uncle Ben. Common sense would say they wouldn't get an actor of his caliber and off him as quickly as the other movies, but maybe it's just a cameo.

Well if you think about it, this is giving the franchise the best chance to stay profitable for Sony and Marvel and give us alot more films. I know Spiderman 3 made alot of money, but the budget and salaries for everyone involved with the early version of Part IV were out of control. Maguire's salary was IIRC getting close to $30M, Raimi butted heads with Sony about the budget and that's why Sony had to start over.
They signed Garfield to chump change compared to Maguire.

He was there, man. lol. Connors was there...for a bit...that's enough to build him up as a tease...
