I want to be in. But this doesn't look remotely interesting. 3D boobies are sure to get applause at the theater.

Glad to see Christopher Lloyd in this.

It's like they went out of their way to make the Piranhas as fake and unthreatening as possible. Hopefully that will be cleaned up a bit before the August release date because that's some of the worst CGI I've seen in a while. Aside from that, the movie looks like goofy fun.

I like the new trailer more. Seeing Christopher Lloyd and Richard Dreyfus makes it kind of cool. Still not excited (at all) about it.

A while back, of all the 2010 remakes, I was looking forward to this the most. The test reviews came out, and were very mixed. The people who disliked it, were making it sound like a B movie just for the sake of it, with no even okay script to go with it. Just strickly gore and nudity. No decent plot or characters or style or anything. The trailer looks fun, except for the horrendous CGI. I'm keeping my expectations way down.
This keeps getting compared to Snakes on a Plane. That was a B movie, but the script is decent for what it is.

some footage (quite a bit) from the Piranha flick. VERY gory, some nudity so this is definitely NSFW...
I wasn't going to see this but it might be fun in 3D w/ a packed audience.

How does a movie with that much gore, cheese, and nudity, and that cast still manage to come across as lame?

Two things: shitty CG piranha, and the aesthetic created by the cameras used to shoot in 3D looks terrible when the effect is not applied.

Looking at it again, you're exactly right. Particularly the second point (as I can sorta forgive the crappy CGI). In fact, I think even in 3D the shot compositions will probably grow tiresome.

The "person still blinking and stupefied after being split at an angle" shot needs to go away. It's been done too many times and holds little shock value.
That was just weak.
