Re: Twilight
I finally saw this yesterday. I thought it was kinda crappy. At least having Rifftrax on helped me sit through it to the end. The actress that plays Bella is so boring and has no acting ability whatsoever. Has anyone criticized her in interviews? Maybe they can give her some pointers to improve instead of being so shitty.
The effects were laughable. It looked like something a high school filmmaker did. The dialogue was just laughable "You're my own personal heroin" "You're my spider monkey"
And what is the point of Edward sparkling in the sunlight? Vampire abilities have some use. Flying, super strength etc. I still cant figure out how Sparkling could be a useful ability???

Damn. I want to see New Moon but I'm the type that won't see flicks out of order. I guess I'm off to Blockbusters...

Re: Twilight
Watched this film for the first time on dvd (I havent read the books) to see what the hype was about. Jennifer love Hewitt seems to be a fan of the series based on her interviews with Craig Ferguson.
Holy crap, this movie was boring. I considered turning off the tv after the first hour. Laughable dialogue.
I also could not get over the fact that the travestite looking kid-vampire was supposed to be a sex symbol with the ladies.
Buffy-Angel has done this so well before.

Re: Twilight
Finally saw this movie the other day to see what the big deal is. I found it tolerable, with some scenes mixed in that I just shook my head at, vampire baseball being probably the biggest.
I don't mind changing up the vampire mythos. I think the writer can have any rules he wants, and I often find that some of the more interesting reveals in series. Here, I had heard so much about the sparkling that I was already cringing before it happened.
However, the outright hate people had in this thread before it even came out, wow. I still don't understand this board's TDK obsession. If it wasn't for Ledger's performance it would be as ridiculous plotwise as this movie. Filmmaking doesn't begin and end with TDK.
