Had to edit the embed code to see it.

EDIT: I would gladly watch the whole movie like this.

He's a hell of a lot more audible in that clip than the real previews, and his voice is a couple of octaves higher.

He sounds like Lord Voldemort in the stadium clip.

Whoops, sorry. I edited it as well. Works now, but a little bit of leftover code. I never had the tolerance for all that damn code.

Great minds thinking alike? This fella made a very similar video back in 2008.

A lot of people need to realize that there's a difference between being personally attacked and being irrationally offended because you take things personally.

What if I was a Nolanite since Memento, but my favorite Batman is still the '89 Burton film?

Looks like tickets are already on sale....and selling out!

Hurry! Tickets For The Dark Knight Rises Are Already On Sale, Screenings Are Selling Out

Written on January 10, 2012 by Brendon Connelly in Film, Recent Updates

Without any kind of fanfare at all, tickets for The Dark Knight Rises have already gone on sale, over six months ahead of opening night.

At the moment, only certain AMC cinemas across the US are selling seats, via Fandango, and only for the midnight screenings as July 19th becomes July 20th. Nonetheless, this particular booking will be the real hot ticket for fans, and so it’s no surprise that the cinemas are already selling out.

At the time of writing, only the Lincoln Square, New York IMAX is completely full, but Los Angeles is well on the way to packing out too.

While there’s no indication when tickets for other cinemas or other screening times will go on sale it’s worth remembering that there was also no indication that these tickets were going to come up.

EW reached out to Warner Bros., who had no comment, and Fandango, who had a completely useless comment:

It’s unusual for movie tickets to go on sale this far in advance.
Damn right it is.

I waited until the weekend of TDK opening to get my IMAX tickets and I ended up having to drive down to Fresno to see it. I'll buy them in advance this time but I'm not buying them now.

Not interested in IMAX. Not interested in 3D. Like with Harry Potter 8, entire theaters will run this in every house simultaneously if need be, staggering the start times by a minute or five.

I'll decide that day if I want to go to midnight. Otherwise the early bird matinee works too.

Eh. The theater I'm going to will be showing BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT before DARK KNIGHT RISES at midnight and those tickets aren't on sale yet.

Damn it, the two IMAXs near me that have assigned seating sold out. I guess, I gotta wait in line for hours like the olden days.

They're still not selling tickets in Dallas or Houston. Sooooo I'm good so far. Was about to freak out about that shit. Didn't feel like putting some money down for a crowd just yet.

That's awesome. I wish a theater around here would do that.

Bale Says Goodbye to Batman

Christian Bale has arguably given us the best onscreen portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Batman films, that we have ever seen.

His Batman voice notwithstanding, Bale has put his considerable acting talent to great use in portraying Wayne/Batman. He has given the character a depth not seen in previous Batman films. One of the reasons for this is that Nolan’s films give more attention to the inner turmoil of Bruce Wayne than any of the earlier films.

Given the success (both commercially and critically) of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight and having wrapped his third Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, its no surprise Bale has decided to remove the famous cowl for good.

Here’s what he said to The New York Daily News regarding his time as the Caped Crusader coming to an end:

“We need different rhythms in our life, don’t we, and to me it would be the wrong rhythm to jump into a franchise at this point. For now, no, I’d be looking for new experiences.”

And on what initially drew him to the character:

“I wasn’t a 12-year-old that gave a damn about comics. I had never been someone into comic books, it just didn’t interest me. It wasn’t my thing.

“Suddenly [after reading Batman: Year One], I found Batman has so many issues, he’s not a healthy individual, this is somebody that is doing good, but he’s right on the verge of doing bad.

“He’s got that killer within him that he’s desperately not trying to let off his leash. And that’s what I always return to.”

I’m glad he’s decided not to play Batman again. As much as I like him in the role, I don’t want him becoming apathetic about the character and just phoning in his performance.

We all know the Batman franchise will not die with Nolan and Bale’s departure. Warner Brothers will no doubt reboot the series and probably in only a couple of years time. So, who would you like to see take over the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman? Who would you like to see behind the camera?

In the last issue of EW, where they did an interview with him, it deemed pretty clear he was done with Batman.

This is old news. We knew this would be his last go round at least a year ago.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

Yeah, not surprising in the least. I'm pretty sure I remember a long time ago him saying that when Nolan was done with the franchise that he'd go as well. Sucks as the cast for the Nolan Batman films has been great so far but I guess all good things end.

I've been to events like this before, and my friends and I thought it was going to be great, but after the first two movies we just ended up feeling really tired and bored, and we just didn't want to sit through another movie.

I don't like to use "lol" and things like that but that did indeed make me laugh out loud reading that.

Thanks.

So they modeled the statue's ass on that of Anne Hathaway's stunt double?

I noticed some similarities in the visuals of The Dark Knight Rises and Aliens:

So..

Blade Runner ---> Batman Begins

Heat ---> The Dark Knight

Aliens ---> The Dark Knight Rises

I'm down with that.
