'Prison Break' Co-Star Bags 'Transporter' Role
Robert Knepper joining Jason Statham
February 26, 2008
Robert Knepper
Jason Statham will return for a third turn as unorthodox delivery man Frank in "Transporter 3," along with at least one new co-star.
According to Variety, "Prison Break" co-star Robert Knepper has been added to the cast of the franchise sequel in an unspecified capacity.
Louis Leterrier, who had a hand in directing the first two films in the franchise, is finishing work on his "Incredible Hulk" reboot for Marvel and will turn things over to Olivier Megaton, a second unit helmer on "Hitman."
The first two movies in the "Transporter" franchise made more than $130 million worldwide.
Knepper, who had a co-starring role in "Hitman," is best known as Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell on FOX's "Prison Break," which concluded its third season last week. His other feature credits include "Hostage" and "Good, and Good Luck."

Yeah, I didn't care too much for the 2nd movie either. But I like Jason Statham, so i'll probably check this out either as a matinee or in the dollar theater.

yeah me too...
i liked the first one... the cop added a lot to it... just an above average action fest...
the second one?... i did a day one blind buy...
i'll be more careful with the third one... i'm noting that people involved in that 'Hitman' crap movie are involved...

Both were decent, mindless action flicks. Can't wait for the third.

I feel like such an outcast, but I think I actually liked the second one better! The whole scene with the psycho girl shooting up the doctor's office was great.

The second one however is an unwatchable turd though, but even worse was War & Chaos, b/c those 3, a fuckin' Uwe Bol, film, Statham, who I really, really dig, is doing everything he can to kill his career.
I really hope the Bank Job, T3, & the Deathrace remake can show is potential again.

hopefully the 3rd has a scene just as good. i felt the scene near the end of the 2nd (in a garage, with the hose, etc) woudl have been better if the music was better - its wierd watching a fight scene with no background music IMO.

I lurve Robert Knepper. I have ever since TNG Season 1.
And he was great on Carnivale, too. I don't watch Prison Break, but it's been cool watching him have a big success at last as such an "out there" character...
