He's not a real man unless he ends with "and then I wash my hands".

I'm shocked anyone is excited for this thing.
1.) The director's track record is sub-par at best.
2.) The lead actor is a void of charisma.
3.) The teaser looks like it's promoting the latest SyFy Saturday Night Original Feature
4.) Post-production 3D

Having 3 writers usually isn't a good sign either. The only saving grace it has (for me) is Stephen Lang.

The supporting cast is about the only thing holding my interest.
Lang as the villain, Bob Sapp as the main henchman, Rose McGowan as a witch, and Ron Perlman as Conan's dad.

Without Arnold and the original score... this just somehow looks and feels like another Scorpion King sequel.

Re: New Conan movie...a "darker approach"
I haven't seen the Scorpion King movies (nor the Mummy, for that matter).
I'm more positively inclined to this after the trailer (which looks epic in scope compared to either of Arnold's films) than I was after the first photos or teaser.
I haven't read the Howard books, but I enjoyed the picking up the comic every month for a few years in the early 80's, and have been enjoying the collected reprints the last couple years. This movie looks very much in the vein of a lot of those stories.
But people have the long knives out for this, because of the participants resumes and because Arnold casts such a long shadow, so I don't expect it to get a fair shake anytime soon.
I'll wait to judge it on it's own merits.

Looks like an Asylum film. Big bomb if they plan on a big release.
