Well Clu 2 is also being played by Bridges so....it's probably kinda like Wolverine. Why can't they just apply makeup? Rarely does deaging via CGI ever have a good reason. Benjamin Button being the greatest reason to do so. I think a good makeup job would've been better.

The Tron panel was pretty amazing, although I think the de-aged Bridges will look terrible in IMAX, unless that isn't final footage.

Recent reports are that Hedlund is terrible in the film and there are extensive reshoots being done to up Olivia Wilde's presence in the film. I may have to curb my excitement for this one in the meantime (this might explain why there's so little of Hedlund in either of the trailers, particularly the second one with de-aged Bridges).

Hedlund is playing his son, right? Not a shocker there. The little bits of dialogue I've seen from him in the trailers have been horrendous. But no matter how good/bad the movie is, it's undeniable that the trailers have been nothing short of awesome.

I've seen the trailer for this twice in 3D in theaters with killer sound systems and it really has me amped. It looks great.

Also, this may be a sneak as to how the action will look in the movie. Here's the trailer for the Disney game called Tron Evolution. You need to click the Enter button at the lower right where it says Encom. Then click videos at the top, then the middle tab called Evolution.

Looking pretty damn cool.

Last night I went top the premiere night of elecTRONica at Disney CA Adventure. What they did was transform the Hollywood Backlot area into a TRON-themed section of the park. As soon as you enter, there are massive video screens showing scenes from the film, guys in light suits tossing around discs and a bar serving Glowjitos and TRONtinis. You then enter another section by walking under a huge Recognizer and there's a massive dance club with girls in Olivia Wilde's costume dancing on platforms, a guy to the right called "Laser Man" who does this crazy light show, an End of the Line bar, a theater where they show 9 minutes of 3D footage from the film (looks awesome!) and a Flynn's Arcade where they have a Space Paranoids game among all the retro games in there and the tokens all say Flynn's Arcade on one side and elecTRONica on the other. It was all VERY cool and well put together. Disney is REALLY hoping this movie is a big hit, and they're pulling out all the stops to promote it.

Alright, I'll dip my toe in the water. Are there any Tron fans here that are starting to get annoyed by the band wagon jumping that is going on these days? Suddenly everybody loves Tron, Disney loves Tron, etc, etc. Where were all these fans 10 years ago? Tron has been in the Disney stable for 28 years but they never gave it any respect. The small Tron attraction at Disneyland was shut down in the late '80s, now they've got a huge event. 99% of the public used to shit all over Tron for having antiquated design, a derivative script, and "cheesy" music. Suddenly everyone thinks Tron is retro-cool. I think on opening day the fair weather fans need to be at the back of the line. Anyone with me?
