Re: Arrested Development movie confirmed
Nice! I'm not sure how "official" Tambor's words are, but it does sound like he knows something...

Excellent news, if true.

Re: Arrested Development movie confirmed
Confirmation, this time from Ron Howard.
EXCLUSIVE: Ron Howard On ‘Arrested Development’ Film: ‘It’s Going Ahead’ Published by Eric Ditzian on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:59 am. 'Arrested Development'The status of the “Arrested Development” movie has vexed and teased fans of the Emmy-winning Fox show almost since the day it was unjustly canceled. The project’s various rumors — it’s happening! It’s dead! Wait, it’s totally on again! — were more confusing than Tobias Fünke’s sexual preferences. Last month at Sundance, Michael Cera told MTV News that there was no script and he didn’t even know if he’d reprise his role as George Michael Bluth. Then co-star Jeffrey Tambor hit back, claiming Cera was in and the movie would film before the end of the year. It seemed like every time a cast member opened his mouth, the mystery only deepened. So when we had the chance to speak with executive producer Ron Howard on the red carpet at the Oscars, we asked him to kick us some truth. He did, and now MTV News can exclusively confirm that the “Arrested Development” is happening. “It’s going ahead,” Howard confirmed. Last Friday he sat down with series creator Mitch Hurwitz to discus the project. “I had a great meeting with Mitch,” Howard said. “Things are going really well. He’s writing.” So has Cera signed on? What about the rest of the main cast? And what sort of shenanigans will the Bluth family become embroiled in this time? Give us something, anything! “We’ve been asked to no longer divulge anything or get into the game of who’s in, who’s out,” Howard told us. “People are going to have to see.” http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/02/23...s-going-ahead/ |

Re: Arrested Development movie confirmed
Hopefully they'll get the most memorable characters to make appearances.
Unfortunately though, Steve Ryan (who played the one-armed man) died in 2007, so they won't be learning any new lessons. |

Ron Howard and Arnette are going to be in San Francisco this weekend at Wondercon talking about their new project. They may talk about this too.

Re: Arrested Development movie confirmed
I'm just glad everyone of the main cast members is on board. Even if the movie isn't a huge hit, if they can keep it in the vein of the TV show, it'll be well worth enjoying for fans.

Re: Arrested Development movie confirmed
Small tidbit on the movie.
http://www.azcentral.com/thingstodo/...04bateman.html Q: What's the status of the much-discussed "Arrested Development" movie? A: I can report that it is being written. Mitch Hurwitz is probably halfway through. I would imagine he'll be done in two or three months, and then he'll start trying to schedule it and figure out a start date. He has birthed or rebirthed about nine careers there on that cast. Finding out when we're all going to be free and available to do this movie will probably take a little bit of time. I know that I can't wait to get a look at the script and shoot it because I miss doing it. |
Re: Arrested Development movie confirmed
Thanks, johnglass. I was just wondering about this the other day. Glad to know it's still a go.

Re: Arrested Development movie confirmed
