Just the Hoth so far. Wavered on the power droid too long to get it.

If anyone is curious, here are some pictures of the store that were tweeted out today and re-tweeted by Justin.

I wondered that too, but I am guessing the ones they put up there are damaged already.

I think that post is ugly as hell. Some of the Mondo posters are awesome, but a lot IMO art butt-ugly.

I've never been completely gaga over Stout's stuff. Blasphemy I know in the Mondo collecting poster world. But if he does a Star Wars I will probably get it.

They're a lot more amazing in person... the printers he uses are famous for being one of (if not THE) best in the country: D&L Screenprinting in Seattle, WA. They use metallic inks and deep blacks to create some of the most mind-poppingly beautiful prints on earth. Most Alamo Drafthouse prints use them and look a LOT better in person sometimes (the Blues Brothers print I have for example looks horrendous on a computer screen but stunning in physical form).

Mark my words, THAT print will be mine. LtROI is one of my favorite movies of the past 5 years. Is it available anywhere? Stout's website just says "on sale soon"

haha, I don't have too many originals- just a few but I think it looks cool. Phantasm poster is probably my favorite right now. I'll have to get a giant frame for it. 27 x 41 movie posters look awesome framed but the expense of getting the frame + not being able to fit a lot on the walls that size makes it tough.

This upcoming book on the art of Drew Struzan, who did the illustrated posters for Big Trouble in Little China, Blade Runner and many others might be of interest.

I'm assuming the King Kong and Godzilla King of the Monsters are reproductions, but what about the Mothra and Reptilicus lobby cards?

re: The Film Posters thread

This one goes up on Thursday. It's a beauty, but I will probably skip it. It was the only TNG film I liked though. Spoilered for size.

Spoiler:

That First Contact poster is great. Bad time to be broke. Do you know who the artist is?

Random time. You gotta check the site often and hope you fall into the 10 minute window. Did anyone who ordered the Hoth poster get it yet? My order still says processing.

The artist is Ken Taylor.

They usually go up on the site between 11-1. You should probably follow them on Twitter, though I seem to get the emails first.

Not yet, I'm in no hurry though. No where to hang it.

Not a big Trekkie but would be down for something to do with ST4 (depending on the content).

Tyler Stout put up the info for his LTROI sale...

http://tstoutinfo.blogspot.com/2010/...ster-sale.html

He's got a 30x40 quad available and variant glow-in-the-dark version. Wowsers.
