I normally find the Alama Drafthouse posters to be messy eyesores, but that Star Wars one is wonderful, and I say that as someone who has no interest in the film(s).

Just got my first Alamo Drafthouse posters courtesy of a board member on another forum I frequent. Too good of deal to pass up, and all from my favorite horror movies!
Many thanks to RobLutter for the idea on framing Nightmare and Halloween together!

#41/150 (Halloween) and #111/150 (Nightmare on Elm Street)
I especially love The Shining one, because that's the screenshot in the movie that I associate with him going crazy. So everytime I feel like taking an axe to someone, I just stare at it.

Was in there today, and picked up a few. They seem to have the frames on sale pretty often.

Ha, pretty cool. I am currently selling my glow in the dark Alien and Elm street and Halloween on Expressobeans. My GID Alien is #26, just one above yours. Have you lit that Alien up like a Christmas tree yet. Put it under a florescent light for a couple minutes and I swear you can read with the light it puts out.

One of only about 6 or so movie posters I would consider putting up (Jaws, Vertigo, Psycho, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back). LOVE it .

Finally managed to snag one of the Mondo Star Wars Prints.
It sold out in 13 mins, just happened to refresh at just the right time.
$64 well spent?

I got the Hoth one... very happy. 12 minutes to sell out. Getting both this one and the Zombie one two weeks ago has made my month.
Is there a consensus on where to get good-but-inexpensive frames for these? I think most Mondos are 24" x 36".

As explained to me by the owner... there's a certain amount agreed to in their contract that they can't go over. Printing small amounts means they have to pay less royalties.
Is that my Halloween/Nightmare poster up higher in the post? That or someone stole my framing idea
If you're in Austin, TX... it's a breeze to get their posters. Unless it's a strange occurrence, they usually have new posters in stock at their retail store (in the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar) on release day or the day after. They're open from 5-10pm, usually. They're getting waaaay too expensive lately though (like everything else in Austin) and I've had to lay off everything but the posters I absolutely love. $40-$80 is a lot to throw down for a poster... well, unless it's a Tyler Stout
PS: I'd KILL for that Shining poster. Absolutely one of my favorite films. If you're ever in the Alamo @ The Village, they have a bunch of rare Mondo prints hung up the the lobby to oogle at.

re: The Film Posters thread
I can't really figure out how the store works. They have red flat files in there now. There is a clear top on one and inside (as of two weeks ago) I saw a few Plan 9 posters and at least one Power Droid. Yet when I called several times, there were no Power Droids available. So i just order whatever release I want from the website and pick up. In addition to the Star Wars I also got Zombie recently.
