Whatever Spurlock has filmed, I'm sure millions of people will go to see it.
That's what counts in this forum right? Box Office takings??

Germany was well on their way to taking over Europe. The U.K. was being choked out of their supplies, Continental Europe had already fallen (France, Holland, etc, etc, etc) - there was NO chance that Germany wasn't going to win that thing... UNTIL the U.S. stepped in with the manpower and machinery/weapons to send the Nazi's back to Germany.
And a hell of a lot of Americans died to free Europe.
Do we ever get a, "Thank you?" No, all we get is a bunch of shit from nations/people who are envious of our political and military power, and who resent us for having that power.
Sorry about the off topic post - but I couldn't let that one pass...

Ok how about this then:
Quote from Historian Norman Davies: "Militarily, the Allies contributed less than the Soviets to the defeat of Germany. About 80 percent of German forces were lost on the Eastern Front."
Still think that the US won the war? You came in at the end and tried to take all the glory. Was any thanks given to the Soviets for their part in WW2? No, America just makes them their enemy. A hell of a lot of Americans died in the war, but many more Europeans died. In the Vietnam war did you ever thank Austrailia for the troops they sent to fight in your war? A war which was lost. The problem is that you think that the rest of the world is envious of the power of the US....believe us....we aren't. We just don't like the way you go about things and the attitude that you display. Humility is something that is severly lacking in a lot of americans. Coming out with statements about your country being "lil germany" is just a prime example of why the rest of the world has a hard time dealing with you.

I end my rant here. Sorry to the mod for getting off topic. Morgan Spurlock came up with an idea that got him ahead in life and all the best to him. I didn't think that Supersize Me was particularly helpful or informative in any way, shape or form...but what the heck. Thats 99% of entertainment these days. As for the Bin Laden doc....i can assume that its all promotion trying to get people excited about the movie. No chance he ever found the guy.
