At least four people proved that with a sensible diet (relatively speaking, since eating everything at one place is not entirely sensible), a limited time period and possibly some sensible exercise, an exclusively McDonald's diet is not going to be harmful. All lost weight and some had reductions in cholesterol and/or a reduction in blood pressure. Spurlock made it harmful to himself with a stupid diet no one in the real world would ever eat just so he could bash McDonald's (in particular and fast food in general). I'm amazed so many people fell for it.

Good luck with that diet. That's all I have to tell you.

I hope all of those people die of cardiac arrest within the next few years.

Obviously never let him do this.

Whatever Spurlock has filmed, I'm sure millions of people will go to see it.
That's what counts in this forum right? Box Office takings??

Spoiler:

He didn't find OBL, but he got to a point where if he had continued, he would've been shot. He did not continue.

I read a review of the film that basically said it wasn't very good. And didn't seem to allude to any breakthrough ending. But I guess it was enough to fool a Weinstein.

Why is it always the case that Americans think they were the ones to win WW2? It had been going on a long time before your involvement, and many more countries were involved. Your track record since then has been great. Vietnam.....great success there. Gulf Conflict.......great you took on an army that practically uses spoons as weapons. Way to go. And then Iraq......yeah invade a country with no weapons of mass destruction because you know they are clever and are hiding them everytime you come calling around. Those damn sneaky Iraqi's. Thats worked out great for you as well.....casualities building up on a daily basis because your "intelligence" gets its facts from a couple of sources that made the whole thing up so they could get paid by the US government and live comfortable lives in western countries. Looking today at Germany and the USA as countries i know which one i feel has the better standard of living for the majority of its populace.

Yeah, how was that war going for the Allies BEFORE the U.S. got involved?

Germany was well on their way to taking over Europe. The U.K. was being choked out of their supplies, Continental Europe had already fallen (France, Holland, etc, etc, etc) - there was NO chance that Germany wasn't going to win that thing... UNTIL the U.S. stepped in with the manpower and machinery/weapons to send the Nazi's back to Germany.

And a hell of a lot of Americans died to free Europe.

Do we ever get a, "Thank you?" No, all we get is a bunch of shit from nations/people who are envious of our political and military power, and who resent us for having that power.

Sorry about the off topic post - but I couldn't let that one pass...

This movie seems like it's what "Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World" should have been.

Ok how about this then:
Quote from Historian Norman Davies: "Militarily, the Allies contributed less than the Soviets to the defeat of Germany. About 80 percent of German forces were lost on the Eastern Front."

Still think that the US won the war? You came in at the end and tried to take all the glory. Was any thanks given to the Soviets for their part in WW2? No, America just makes them their enemy. A hell of a lot of Americans died in the war, but many more Europeans died. In the Vietnam war did you ever thank Austrailia for the troops they sent to fight in your war? A war which was lost. The problem is that you think that the rest of the world is envious of the power of the US....believe us....we aren't. We just don't like the way you go about things and the attitude that you display. Humility is something that is severly lacking in a lot of americans. Coming out with statements about your country being "lil germany" is just a prime example of why the rest of the world has a hard time dealing with you.

I end my rant here. Sorry to the mod for getting off topic. Morgan Spurlock came up with an idea that got him ahead in life and all the best to him. I didn't think that Supersize Me was particularly helpful or informative in any way, shape or form...but what the heck. Thats 99% of entertainment these days. As for the Bin Laden doc....i can assume that its all promotion trying to get people excited about the movie. No chance he ever found the guy.

That's bullshit, Germany was basically on its knees for 40 years following WWII rubber stamping 95% of US policy. As for WWII, the US definitely accelerated the outcome but didn't single-handedly cause it.

Here's a doctored photo I found from a wacky conspiracy site showing the US single-handedly winning WWII:
