I think Ford already did his Lincoln impression at the beginning of Regarding Henry.

I think Conan O’Brien should take the role as Abraham Lincoln.
Just Kidding, Actually Liam Neeson is a terrific actor & that other little movie he did with Spielberg wasn’t too shabby.
I’d love to see Gary Oldman in this, he’s very underrated IMO.

Wow, I liked the idea of Liam Neeson quite a lot but DDL -- well that's about the best you can do. Not sure how tall he is though!

That actually sounds like great casting news. And I am SO, SO happy to hear this after all the delay's this film has had. This is the upcoming Spielberg film I am looking forward to the most. Even more than Tintin!

I love Daniel Day Lewis. I like him better than Liam Neeson, but I think Neeson would have been GREAT as Abe. This is basically a horse apiece in my opinion. I think either one of them would have been sweet.

So we can expect this movie to bring to light Abraham Lincoln's previously unknown love of milkshakes.

I'd prefer to see Lincoln played by Neeson, in the same vein as Neeson's Next of Kin character. This NEEDS to be an action pic with some kick-ass one-liners.
I suppose Lewis would be okay too.

Since it is Spielberg is he going to have John Wilkes Boothe smack Lincoln in the back of the head with a news paper instead of shooting him?

"my name is Abraham Lincoln and this is my wife MT Lincoln, we've traveled across half this nation to come here tonight to see about this slavery issue. Now its no great mystery, I'm an Oil,,err I mean emancipator. I have freed numerous slaves across this land and have many more flowing out right now. So if I say I'm an Oi..err Emancipator then you will agree."

Does Daniel Day Lewis EVER take a job/project which isn't Oscar bait?
I know he plays the "I'm really complicated and not into the Hollywood lifestyle" thing, and that's cool. But I think a lot of his attitude is a shtick and the guy REALLY loves awards.
I like him and all, but if you've ever seen or read an interview, you know how he seems to try too hard to come off as dark, deep and unattached/uninterested in film making, allegedly having to be nearly begged to do a project.

Was bummed Spielberg waited so damn long he lost Neeson, but I'm a huge DDL fan so all is not a total loss.
