Walk Hard- The Trailer

Just saw the trailer for Walk Hard over on youtube. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVMiW11SEmw

It looks like they are really going all out to make this look like an Oscar bait movie, too. The trailer makes the movie look pretty epic. Even the trailer is epic. When was the last time you saw a four minute theatrical trailer? Can't wait for this.

A better-looking version can be found here

Trailer looks good, but in all honesty I was expecting it to be funnier. The Elvis and Beatles scenes look priceless, though.

I was wondering when Judd Apatow would do something else. It seems like forever since his last movie.

I'm not really interested in the movie but I'm a sucker for Jenna Fischer so I'll end up seeing this eventually.

Knocked Up just came out this summer.

There's also Superbad this week and now this in November, where he plays the role of producer (Jake Kasdan is directing Walk Hard).

Looks like it could be funny - I must say though, that was a very long trailer. It was 4 minutes long. They generally are 1:45-2:45.

It looks funny, but not at all what I thought it'd be. In an interview with CHUD, Apatow described it as a spoof, but played very straight - so much so that it would seem like the actors and filmmakers would fully expect to be nominated for Oscars. The way I took it, it'd be sort of like the first half of Hot Fuzz only lampooning the conventions of these Oscar-bait prestige biopics as opposed to action flicks.

This looks much more along the lines of Anchorman or Talladega Nights than I'd expected. Still, the trailer made me laugh.

The trailer that plays in theaters this weekend with Superbad is about a minute shorter and has a different, but much funnier gag at the end.

I loved the trailer, I'll be there to watch this one as soon as it is released.

And just because I'm sure it'll be mentioned eventually...

I really don't think I can take that much John C. Reilly at once. He's fine in smaller roles, but he just starts bothering me after awhile. I'd only see this because Jenna looks like she does an awesome job.

Boy, I walked right into that one, didn't I? Internet sarcasm can be a tricky beast.

Saw this before Superbad and I was laughing my ass off. The crowd was going nuts for it, too. Can't wait.

Well, it seems like Jenna Fisher might not be in the movie too much, since he divorces her and has other wives or girlfriends.

I was actually faked out - I thought it was really one of those annoying oscar flicks - until the preacher got punched.

It does seem like a little too much Reilly though. I can only take him in small doses as well.

It looked a little bit too spoofy. Here's hoping for the best.

I guess the guy at the beginning that was yelling "I NEED COX" didn't tip you off.

Seriously? It was obviously a Walk the Line spoof from the get go.

The theatrical trailer definitely has a better flow to it and some better jokes, but this movie is near the top of my 'must see' list now - Jake Kasdan is awesome and I've been a John C. fan ever since Boogie Nights. Looks good and the joke at the end of the other trailer just killed at the theatre.

I really dislike "spoof type" movies, saw the clip did nothing for me...

I'll be skipping this.

It's not Cox until I say it tastes like Cox.

That line got EVERYONE at the early screening of Superbad.

I'm really looking forward to this. I think it will be funny. I thought the Walk Hard trailer was better than Ray and Walk The Line.

Paul Rudd as John Lennon
