Reminds me of the image on the first book of The Hobbit I read.

Re: The Hobbit
Is it the same trailer thats out already?
On that note, I went to see Wrath of the Titans last week for $1. Movie sucked and so did the crowd. But when the trailer unexpectedly came on, I creamed my pants! I fucking love it and that song! Made the night worth it and I may go again just for the trailer and walk out.

Re: The Hobbit
I just want to see wtf this looks like in 48fps. I don't care about the 3D, I kind of know what to expect when solid talent uses those cameras. I just want to see this 48fps for myself.

Peter Jackson showed a new trailer at Comic Con, in 24fps:

Peter Jackson explains on Facebook his reasoning for not showing it in 48fps:

Some interesting articles I found about the 48fps debate:

Re: The Hobbit
Those are some great articles, Jay. I especially like "Frame Wars," although I disagree with the author's insistence that there is more than "Filmstockholm Syndrome" at work regarding peoples' preference of 24 fps. In fact, that is exactly what it is. 24 fps looks good to people because it is what they have always known, not because it is inherently better. If Edison's suggestion had been followed, and 46 fps had been settled on as the standard, then that would be the frame rate to which everyone would be attached today, and an attempt to introduce a meager 24 fps system today would be "laughed to scorn."

Game of Thrones was published in 1996. Jackson couldn't get the rights so he made these cheap knock-offs instead (first movie came out 2001).
