On a lark I just checked and this has made more than $400M. It's already $70M over the original, and even if you account for inflation that's a sizable difference (whatever that may be).

I'll be surprised too if we don't see a 3rd, but I really hope they fix some of the problems with this one. I'm not saying it's easy, but they need to capture more of the spirit of the first and make the intillectual portion...well, more challenging this time around. I think that/the Ed Harris character were the weakest points of this one.
