Just borrowed this from the library and really wanted to like it, all the individual performances were good/great (Deniro and Pfeiffer were both enjoyable, as were the goat-people), and all the concepts seemed interesting and unique, but it just didn't hang together.

We've still got it for a few more days, so I'd like to try to watch it again. There's so much I want to love, but it just didn't grab me.

check out the book. I think it works a whole lot better in book form.

Fixed. Although if you can't find the original illustrated novel, the later all-text version will be fine.

That said, I enjoyed the film a lot.
