"Indiana Jones" is set to whip it out in New Haven, Connecticut.
Steven Spielberg's crew for the fourth Indy film will shoot a car chase on Chapel between College and High streets in New Haven on at the very end of June.
A pre-production crew was in the city last week and Monday talking to shop owners on the block.
The New Haven Register confirms the film will have 1950's period setting according to several merchants who were approached by crew members.

Well I suppose we should brace ourselves for the inevitable "first shot" of Indy behind-the-scenes... esp if they start filming this wk. I imagine the shots of Indy won't be too flattering out of context...

Also, will Williams be scoring this film? I know that Spielberg shows John the kind of respect that his scores deserve, but Lucas pissed all over Clones and Sith by over-pro-tooling/cool editing and butchering two great scores.

It may be Lucas' characters, but this is sure as hell still Spielberg's movie.

Apparently, Sean Connery is not returning for Indy IV.

At least his reasons seem to be decent ones...doesn't seem to be any issues with George, Steven or Harrison. Then of course, he MIGHT have wanted a sum that Paramount just wasn't going to pay.

When is this coming out again? If it's next summer they haven't done much, but then again, these movies were never CGI heavy and didn't require much post-production. Hopefully GL keeps that in mind.

Now Marion is a character who needs to return considering Indy's(and presumably her) son is in the movie. Sallah's absence kinda sucks though.

I posted a similar thought on the expected date for the teaser for Dark Knight, and I thought I'd offer a similar assumption.
Lucas said the teaser would be released around Thanksgiving; if that's true, we should be seeing it in front of Beowulf (Paramount's big November release) later this year.
