Does anyone else think Rachel Dawes looks pregnant in that scene where she smacks the Joker in the face? It looks like the same scene from that photo of him holding a knife to her face.

Didn't you hear? Batman has a kid now, but instead of Kryptonite making him weak it makes him strong...errr, wrong movie.

The buildup for this movie is stellar. Are we looking at the Box Office Champ in 2008, by way of an amazing promotional campaign?

Indy IV>The Dark Knight
As for the trailer, looks decent, I was hoping for something a little darker, hopefully the movie will go that route. The trailer just reminded too much of the original Batman, Joker in the middle of the street, Batman coming in on a bat vehicle, Joker just standing there waiting for him. I will definitely be there opening night. Nice to not see Katie Holmes in this, I think Maggie will do a great job.

I like the pure mayhem the Joker seems to be creating in this movie. Couple that with some good ol' fashioned violence and I think we have a winner.
I also like the idea of escalation they are using in this series. Batman is actually part of the problem because he decided to put a suit on and become a vigilante.
The Burton films and it's sequels didn't touch on that quite so much.

IMO:
Burton's Batman = family friendly movie/Batman TV series (with Adam starring, not cartoon)
Nolan's Batman = more realistic/more similar with comic (not 100%)

Sadly enough, Batman Forever did touch on that, but the scene was cut from the movie(it's in the deleted scenes section of the 2-disc DVD).Originally Posted by JTH182

That movie also addressed Bruce's guilt over being indirectly responsible for his parents' deaths(which showed up in Batman Begins), but that was trimmed as well.
It took WB another decade, but they finally got it right.

I think with the exception of the Joker saying "you idiot! You made me!" the Burton films didn't address this issue at all.

The dialogue (between the bank robbers) didn't sound right to me...it sounded cheesy. I don't know how to explain it, it just didn't sound right.Originally Posted by Nick Martin
All the press about this Prologue say it's the opening sequence of the film, so yes it is. Although it may not appear exactly that way, considering they're in post-production now, so things can always be revised by the time the film is released.

I don't really think that Burton's Batman was that family friendly. Shumacher's were, but Burton's was pretty dark and gloomy in that Burton "style."Originally Posted by McHawkson

I wonder if they altered some of the dialogue to make it appear as more of a stand alone 6 minute movie rather than just a excerpt from the film.Originally Posted by MartinBlank

is it out of the realm of possibility that Ledger receives an Oscar for this? Maybe nomination?

And even that was in a more literal sense. Jack blamed Batman for dropping him in the acid, and had a personal vendetta against him.Originally Posted by RocShemp

Well, I doubt WB is ever going to release R-rated Batman movies.Originally Posted by McHawkson

Saw the trailer and it just seemed "off" to me. I am afraid that this movie is going to disappoint. Hope I am wrong.

Awesome looking trailer. Can't wait.
This question was lost in the shuffle with the trailer debuting and all, but...does anyone know where one can purchase the teaser posters?
