That looks like a bigger version of the "Hoverboard" from BTTF 2. I wonder if it says "Pitbull" on the side.

It's the Greenish-Silver Goblinoid Surfer.

If the movie producers wanted to differentiate Harry from his father so as to avoid Green Goblin overkill, why didn't they just turn Harry into the Hobgoblin like the cartoon series did? I would have much prefered that over the surfer goblin. I really hated the first movie's version of the Green Goblin costume (the mask looked like something out of the Power Rangers), and I hate this version even more.

I agree about the costume for the first film. And I think the surfglide is stupid. But I don't mind the new costume... So put the new costume with the old glider and I'd be happier.

I hope the new trailer is good, because these new drawings have made me a little frightened.. But only a little...

I don't remember Harry ever turning into the Hobgoblin in the cartoon. Just another Green Goblin.

I don't think it's like a surfboard at all. I think it flies the same way as the first glider. The pictures we're looking at just show it from an angle that make it look likes it's a surf/snow/skateboard. Watch the last trailer and there's a part where the goblin flies into a wall. i think it's moving like the glider in the first movie did.

Thanks for reminding me. You're right. Which is a relief.

And it makes sense since Harry would be more aerodynmic for faster flight if he did ride it more like a surfboard. Can you imagine the wind drag on the original GG and how hard it would be to remain standing on the original?

I don't know. I never watched the cartoon, but I had read that Harry was the Hobgoblin in the cartoon.

Has anyone seen this rumor? It says that Bruce Campbell may appear as Mysterio in the movie. They are trying to kill this movie with villain overload. First rumors of the Lizard appearing, now Mysterio? Was the Lizard rumor ever confirmed or not?

Doh, I meant to say Green Goblin. I never saw the cartoon version, but in the comics Harry took over the Green Goblin roll after the Hobgoblin was threatening his family.

If try hopefully it is just in an opening scene where he captures him.

I don't see how a cameo accounts for "villain overload." From what I read, it's just a small scene involving the guy who goes on to become Mysterio, Quentin Beck. Probably nothing more then Dr. Connors showing up in Spidey 2.

I'm not a big spiderman comic guy so let me ask this, are they making that twist in the storyline based on the comics or off the top of their heads?

There is no way Raimi would change the events of the first film.
