Re: Casino Royale Trailer is up
Casino Royale is on DVD and Blu ray????? When did this come to the theaters? I've been waiting for this Bond film for ages now - Daniel Craig seems like he would make a great James Bond - I hope he does well. Did it play in theaters????

Re: Casino Royale Trailer is up
This was a weird bump of a thread.
Anyway, since I'm here....I was watching Casino Royale on USA the other day (even though it's sitting on my DVD shelf) and did anyone notice that they chopped out a huge scene from the TV version?
The scene where Bond is poisoned and he runs out to the car to defibrillate himself was missing. Why would they chop it out? I mean, it's cable -so instead of the 6 million commercial breaks promoting USA's own shows couldn't they have found room to leave that scene in?

Yeah, there didn't appear to be a Reviews thread for the movie when I did my search, so we're stuck commenting in a trailer thread

I was also curious about that, I left the room, came back and the movie seemed much further along than it should have been.
It really wasn't that important of a scene (it raises the stakes slightly but has no effect on the plot, and was memorable in its own right), but they forgot to get rid of the line "You were almost dead an hour ago." when he wins.

I cannot stand Daniel Craig. I won't be seeing this or any other Craig as Bond film. Someone mentioned Julian McMahon, who would probably be the perfect James Bond.
As for Brosnan, it's a shame to see him go, as he was easily my favorite Bond after Connery. In many ways, he was even more archetypal Bond than Connery was. But as Jesse pointed out, other than Goldeneye, the films he starred in wasted his talent and everyone else's. It's a damn shame.

That was awesome. But fuck Daniel Craig as Bond. I know I am in the minority but I will be glad when he hangs up his PPK.
