Quick add: it's not moving dates. Jan. 18th is the international release date. The movie is still opening on Dec. 25th.
|
Looks great ! and looks like a Hard R, no PG-13 crap !

Saw a preview for this at 3:10 to Yuma... The first half was pretty much exactly the same minus the R-rated footage...but the 2nd half was completely different. It was set to "silent night"...my friend and I were cracking up... can't wait to see it again online. lol
And several very cool shots of Aliens rising up behind unsuspecting people. |
That's odd...that's exactly how the "Black Christmas" remake trailer was last year, set to Silent Night.
|
the trailer was impressive and this has to be better than the shitty AVP. But I really hope this doesn't happen: aliens and predators team up to fight the "predaliens". I just want them all killing each other.

Spoiler. Image of the Hybrid!

edit: beaten :)

I think the hybrid looks pretty sweet. No problem there. I can't wait to see how it looks in action.
|
Saw the trailer yesterday. Looked pretty cool.
I'll probably see this one to see the Predalien in action :) |
R-Rated trailer looked pretty kick ass, I'll go see it.
|
Why is there a hybrid?
|
Glad the release date hasn't been changed. As much as I want to see this.....Cloverfield comes first.
|
In the first film...

I hope that's a prototype or something. I've seen much better Alien/Pred Hybrid designs.

I guess ALL Aliens are Hybrids when you think about it. Maybe the Queen is "pure", but the rest are certainly stealing genetic traits from other hosts. Aliens, or Xenomorphs, take on characteristics of the host on a genetic level. We've mostly seen Aliens hosted by humans. However, in Alien 3 we saw one hosted by the Rotty and it used the dog's genetic traits for eh final stages and that's why it could run on all fours. We didn't se that previous to Alien 3. In AVP one of the Preds was hosting a Xenomorph.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenomorph_%28Alien%29 < is pretty sure we'll never see a Female Predator in a movie. :( |
not sure if this was posted but IGN has a NEW clip.

Oh yeah...I remember now.

I saw the trailer before 3:10 to Yuma last month, and I gotta be honest that the "This Christmas, there will be no peace on Earth" thing killed me. As horribly wretched as Fox is as a studio, that was an ingenious tagline for a movie that isn't necessarily an obvious candidate for a Christmas Day release.
Bear in mind that I want to see this movie and do not count the first film as part of the canon and as such never saw it. (An Alien vs. Predator movie is physically and ethically barred from even touching a PG-13 rating.) To me, this is the movie we've waited for since the early 90's, and even if it doesn't reach the greatness of Alien or Aliens or Predator it will be a very awesome throwback. |
I'm pretty sure that AVP2 will just pick up where AVP1 left off so I don't think it's possible for people to ignore the first movie.
|
What first film? There never existed any first film. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The first one was the Ann Veal of the Alien and Predator franchise: it doesn't exist...even if it apparently does. |
