I guess I'm the only one that likes the original pirates ride, I hope they don't update it with characters from the movies.

The trailer looks good, hope the movie doesn't overcapitalize on some of its best aspects (jack sparrow,etc...)

You're NOT the only one. Regarding BOTH statements. One of the great things about the ride [and this might sound weird] is this musty/musky smell [from the fog machines, i'm assuming] before the ride kicks into gear [right after you're done floating by the BIG pirate ship on the left].

I really wouldn't want them to permanently change the ride, but I wouldn't mind a temporary fix [ala the Haunted Mansion].

Bitchen!!!! I loooove the POTC ride but I still think they should update the ride. Especially with the movies out.

Regarding the updates to the ride, supposedly to tie in more with the upcoming flicks.

Wow. Bigger changes than I expected!

Instead of coming to your own conclusions concerning the sights seen on the ride, they're now going to turn it into a "Where's Jack Sparrow?" show.

The Davy Jones ghost and animatronic-cursed pirate sound like they could be neat additions though.

thems are some major changes. should be interesting.

wow, after seeing some of the art designs from the Imagineering it looks pretty insane. It's going to be interesting, though having the blue bayou closed for that much time is going to pain me.

Wouldn't mind a few changes to the ride. It's always been my favorite and I love the movie.

Both of those characters can be seen in the trailer - guess they joined Jack after being "uncursed"

Quite a few are returning including Barbossa(Rush). But then again his role may be a very small one.

I wonder what Barbossa will be doing in this one? Maybe a flashback?

You know, to this day I seldom find a more chilling feeling than the one I had when I heard the "Dead Men Tell No Tales...." moan on the POTC ride. Knowing the backstory of it makes it even more chilling.

EDIT: I checked IMDB, and according to it Bill Nighy plays Davy Jones. I could have sworn I saw the actor's face in the teaser as well. Does this mean the tentacle face is some sort of mask or something? I guess when you're a supernatural entity you can do whatever the hell you want though.

Saw it prior to Silent Hill. It looks cool, and I'm sure I'll have fun with it.

I have to say, I wasn't all that impressed with the first film the first time round at the theatre - until I recently rewatched this on DVD and thought it was a blast - the trailers for 'Dead Man's Chest' look great - here's hoping the sequel is as good as or better than the first.

You won't find a bigger Pirates fan than yours truly ... and I think I've watched this new trailer about eight times already. I'd skip Superman Returns for a year if I could see POTC2 this evening.

I had low hopes after seeing the first PotCMC trailer. But this one looks great! Saved by a good trailer. It gives a BIT too much away

Spoiler:

After seeing that Superman trailer , I would do the same thing. I already can't wait to see what the third Pirates film will be about.

Unlike Spider-man, Superman has had a steady exposure everywhere. Sure, the last Superman movie was almost twenty years ago (and it was awful) but there's been Lois & Clark and Smallville. All popular shows but no barn-busters. I don't think the movie is going to tank but it's not going to post anywhere near Spider-man numbers.
