Cool ship. I take it this one will delve deeper into the Supernatural than the last one.

Actually after seeing the previews for the first movie I thought that it would suck. I'm glad I was mistaken. Hopefully this won't be the other way around.

that movie looks fantastic, Love Johnny Depps Character, some really funny clips with him in it. Love the makeup he has with all the eyes, The tribe sticking him above the fire and hes trying to blow it out. and the indian tribe chasing him etc
really looking forward to this one big time now and it seems we get a giant Octopus too

That looks awesome. How can you go wrong with Bill Nighy and that Stellan dude. Not to mention returning minor characters (I think I caught that little fat guy who was always with the one whos eye kept poppong out)
ANd Rush is back? Thats too awesome. Though... didnt he die in the first? lol
I hope the rumors are true that the 3rd will have Chow Fat as a Chinese pirate.

It's gonna sound strange, but I still want these movies to have a tie-in to the ride.
But at least they're still in Disney "territory" with the giant octopus ala 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

To tell you the truth, skeletons are the things I remember most from the ride and the 1st movie had tons of them (The movie even explains how/why the talking skull that greets you before the first waterfall is...Talking! ) but judging by what we see in the trailer, this sequel doesn't seem to have them returning. So maybe new nods to the ride will appear? A gunfight set in a gunpowder room? Jack Sparrow retiring in New Orleans Square? *hint*hint*

They're updating the ride? Bout damn time!
I have been on the ride at both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Fl. It's been a while since I have been on either now, but if I recall correctly, the one in Cali had a longer stream and had two talking skeleton heads; one with two swords under it, and one with cross-bones. I also know that the one in Cali had a restaurant built around the opening of it before it started. For those familiar with both, could you enlighten me as to what the major differences are/were? Also, for those in Cali, why do they have the ride in New Orleans Square? If I recall correctly, the pirates were part of the Spanish Main, and New Orleans was settled by the French. Then again, I think some of the Caribbean folks settled in New Orleans. Need a history lesson I guess!
I wonder how Davey Jones would look on a ride and where they would incorporate him?
EDIT: Oh yeah, that link makes it look much better. Thanks!
