I'm in too. Simply because I'm a boxing fan and I've heard the trailer looks good. Too bad the lead "villain" got his ass whooped by 41 year old Bernard Hopkins who moved up two division from Middleweight to become the first middleweight to beat the Light Heavyweight champion. He lost pretty much every single round. However, if is movie personality is anything like his real boxing personality he should make a good character. I just hope they don't make him a one dimensional villain that wants to kill Rocky and I don't think they will.
One line that sounded good (not sure if I have it 100% correct) was when Rocky says "It ain't over til it's over" and Mason replies "Is that from the 80's?" to which Rocky replies with "Probably the 70's.".

Parts of the trailer gives me goosebumps, but other parts of the trailer make me cringe. Just out of sure curiousity and love for Stallone and the Rocky character, I will see this film. Please be good, please be good.
I hope I'm wrong, but I think I'm going to feel the same way about Sly and the Rocky franchise as I did about Arnold and the Terminator franchise after seeing T3. It was hard to describe the feeling, but it just made me wish for the old days when Sly and Arnold were in their prime. It also reminds me a little bit of when Jordan came back for the Wizards. Parts of me we're glad just to see him just on the court, but it was really rough and not the same MJ I remembered from the Bulls. Of course, I've changed as well and sometimes you can't bring that nostalgia with you.

My point is the movie is unrealistic, 60 years old and a professional fighter. I loved the Rocky movies myself but I guess I was looking out for the integerty of the franchise. If they want to make go ahead I don't care but part of me wishes they just let the character retire for good. Anyone get flashbacks of the scene from Alien Nation when they had a clip of Aliens standing in line to see Rocky 7 or 8?

Also, the trailers indicate he's not really a professional anymore. He indicates he just wants to do a few very small matches, and then is somewhat suckered into an exhibition with the champ. I wouldn't call that a profession.
Anyway, the trailer looks surprisingly good. We shall see if the movie actually is.

I'm there on opening day. The last rocky was horrible, but I love the first 4. Plus I love Stallone and cant wait to see how they approach this.

Stallone is 60, but I think the Rocky character in this movie is more like 50 or mid-50s. Stallone said his inspiration for the film was when George Foreman came back and won the heavyweight title at 45.
As long as they don't kill Rocky at the end, I'll be a happy camper. Even as a fan of the series, I must admit I'm a little surprised at how GOOD the movie looks!

oh man, after watching the trailer, I don't think he should of made this. I'll guess they'll bring back Hulk Hogan in the next one titled "Grumpy Old Men in the Ring".

I am so there for this movie.
Personally, I think Stallone should've gone out with glory and stopped after ROCKY III,
but if ROCKY BALBOA can redeem the series, which this trailer indicates it can, then I'm so there for this.

I love that the last shot you see in the trailer is Rocky's head flying around after his face caught a punch. Poor Rocky, always getting your ass kicked...
This doesn't look to bad, but I'm not a fan of the series. I've only seen bits and pieces of it here and there. Since I missed the film when it was in it's prime, I've been pretty "ruined" by the parodies, homages and rip-offs that have happened since then.
Sly looks damn good though, so props to the guy for getting this project off the ground.

"I think there's still some stuff in the basement..."
Seriously though, the WORST thing they could do is have Rocky die in the ring...I know Stallone has often mentioned that that's the way he'd like the series to end, but most of ROCKY V was such a downer (no money, brain damage, etc) that we NEED to see Rocky back on top at the end. At least that's my 2 cents worth.
In fact, the PERFECT ending would have Rocky winning, looking towards the heavens and yelling "Yo Adrian, We Did It!". Fade to black. Credits roll.
