Re: Voltron (2027, D: Thurber)
When big companies do things that appear to leave money on the table, my first assumption is not that that is what they are doing.
Not that companies can't make the wrong decision or read a room incorrectly, but I don't think Voltron is what's going to pull in moviegoers. I literally have a Voltron LEGO set within 4 feet of me as I type this and I've barely registered that this movie is happening. I was more of a fan of the toys than the show when I was a kid, and even with what little I know of just from watching the show when i was young, I probably know more about Voltron than 99% of moviegoers do. I think this is the right call for this. |
Re: Voltron (2027, D: Thurber)
I was excited about this when HC was attached, but the hes not even playing Lothor. Then the kids are from Earth, why do all these franchises and include fucking Earth.

Uh... I believe in both Voltron and Go-lion the pilots are from Earth...

I feel like this thing's been in the can since last year. Unless they're still working on post-production, it might be awful. That, or Amazon is doing it to get more PRIME memberships. I'm still in.

I'm surprised they didn't wait just a couple of weeks to see how MoTU would do in theaters.
