Enjoyed the trailer.
There's a lot of MK11 stuff in there, which is pretty cool.

Yeah, because why would people think a reptilian humanoid in a MK movie would be Reptile, right?
Even if that somehow isn’t him, there is also a shot of his legs as he is coming out of camouflage in the trailer as well.

Those are some very solid Asian actors and looking forward to this even if this turned out as cheesy as the original.

Despite the fact that this is being made by a 1st time director and writer, it looks fun from that footage. MK has always been a guilty pleasure. I even really liked the 1st season of the web series that starred Michael Jai White and Jeri Ryan. I know we did a few threads about that series.

MK11 REALLY got me back into the MK universe (and made me love MK X as well). With that said, I was worried about this movie and while some of it looks really cheesy and low budget - there was plenty to please fanboys like myself. I was shocked when Subs created the ice-wall just like the game and I love that they showed us some scorps vs. subs in the trailer.
The rumor is subs is the main baddie which actually is a good thing.
Even Goro looks good. I didn't like the first film but I loved the fighting in it.
I don't get why Warner Brothers won't go full out big budget with this franchise though.

I just hope on the Blu-ray you can insert like Freddy Kruger or the Terminator into movie. With actual lines and everything. Like have Englund and Arnold film actual scenes and if you want to see their arc in movie that would be awesome. Like dlc for game, but on Blu-ray. 😂

The director has apparently confirmed the techno Mortal Kombat theme will be in this movie.

That's cool I'm sure it'll be remade slightly and not be the exact same version used in the previous movies.

Holy Shit the CGI was bad in that movie. Even as a kid I knew it was shit.

Why only have Justice League in 4:3 when we can this one as well.

“Mortal Kombat,” an adaptation of the popular video game, has been delayed a week.
The Warner Bros. fantasy-action film was originally scheduled for April 16 and is instead coming out on April 23. It will premiere both in movie theaters and on HBO Max.
The postponement comes the day before Warner Bros. plans to release another tentpole, “Godzilla vs. Kong.” Film exhibitors have been optimistic about the arrival of the big-budget clash of the titans, which has already done notable business overseas. “Godzilla vs. Kong” has made $121 million at the international box office to date. It’s done especially well in China, generating $70 million on opening weekend. By pushing “Mortal Kombat,” the studio hopes to space out the potential blockbusters in an effort to avoid cannibalizing ticket sales.
Warner Bros. also anticipates that capacity restrictions across the country could be relaxed in the coming weeks. Earlier on Tuesday, Los Angeles county — one of the most popular movie markets in the U.S. — moved into the state’s orange tier, which allows movie theaters to increase indoor capacity to 50% or 200 people. The change is expected to go into effect on Wednesday. It’s an encouraging step in Hollywood’s efforts to revive the movie business, which has been decimated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Fucking Hell. It would have worked out perfectly so I could have watched all 3 of the big releases with my 1 month of service had they not delayed this. Oh well.
