Anyone else think Mr. and Mrs. Smith is doomed?

I thought it was good from the point they first suspected each other, up until they busted out the O.C. guy. The beginning was boring and the end was too unbelievable.
Standing right in the middle of all the gunfire and not even getting hit except in the vests?? I've seen more believable gunfights in a John Woo movie.

I just saw it, didn't like it. Wasn't horrible but too much relied on it being brad and angelina. It reminded me of that scene in oceans 12 where julia roberts pretends to be julia roberts, only 2 hours long.

I didn't even read this thread, some posts on the first page then jumped to this page.
I saw this in theaters, thought it'd be a fun movie. It had its moments, funny parts like Brad kickin the shit out of Angelina but otherwise, lots of things didn't work, its way too long and yes, the ending action scene is utterly ridiculous. They sure are pretty to look at tho, may they have more adopted third world children together.

I was hoping this movie would be entertaining but it was a bit of a snoozer. It felt like I was watching an action-comedy that had been edited for violence, with the jokes taken out as well. I had a pretty big problem with Angelina this time around... I just don't see her as a housewife type.
The spy stuff was also a bit too Spy-Kids-y. I've never seen his first movie, but this is far and away the least fun Doug Liman movie.
It didn't have anything spectacular... just a solid "C" throughout.

This is a dumb idea and will probably be cancelled. Saying that I think Jordana Brewster is alright but that I'd like to see Morena Baccarin from Firefly play Mrs. Smith. She is way hotter than Brewster.

Bump.
I was looking for something to watch tonight and pulled this one off the shelf. I had never seen it before. It was a fun movie, although I agree that the happy ending was ridiculous. When Pitt and Jolie were sitting in that barn, I turned to my wife and said "You know, if they had made this movie in the 70s, it would end as they burst out the door, guns blazing, without actually showing us that fight and leaving to our imagination the fact that they got gunned down." Has the movie actually ended there, I think it would have been much better, although I did enjoy the choreography of that last gunfight.
Anyhow, I found this to be a fun little "check your brain at the door" action flick.

though i don't think it's an awful film, it's not exactly a good one either. a strangely compelling mess would be a better description. the visuals are distracting, to say the least. the backwards stuff seems especially pointless. james van der beek is terrible in this film. there's already narration to let us know what a colossal jerk his character is, so van der beek shouldn't be scowling ferociously the way he does throughout the film. avary also managed to get a bad performance out of the otherwise dependable clifton collins. and the less said about shannon sossamun, the better. her idea of acting is to bite her lower lip. a lot. get that girl some chapstick, ASAP! but jessica biel and kip pardue are both quite good. i've seen this film twice because there are some wonderful moments scattered around, especially a sequence involving suicide that is remarkably effective. it's compelling in spite of the things i think are wrong about it but boy, there really is a LOT wrong.

Did you mean to comment on Mr.& Mrs. Smith or Rules of Attraction?
