This must be the most original joke I have ever seen!!! It's like the concept of a skinny white guy trying to be black has never been realized onscreen or in television before!!! LOL LOL......a rail-thin albino...........trying to be black....... That's almost as funny as making a movie and then naming it Meet the Fockers! I can't get over that one! Do you get it? Fuckers? Fockers? They sound the same! As in, when you go up to the box office and ask for a ticket and the hot girl asks you for what movie you're then ALMOST saying "MEET THE FUCKERS"!!! What won't they think of next!!?

I think the whole point of the brother thing was that we never really expected a girl to show up, nor for her to look decent. If someone showed up, id assume a man. If it was a girl, a huge fatass.

Yeah, I wasn't real sure if it was funny or serious Groucho this time. Movies can mean different things to different people. What is "best" and what is "worst" is hardly shared by all.

Especially when he started explaining his choices. That's against the rules!

I think I seem to be a lot more selective in my movie choices then most here (at theatres anyways) I didn't really see anything this year that was that horrible. Troy was probably the biggest disappointment but it wasn't a total loss. Now movies that I caught up with on DVD from last year is a different story.

I could have avoided the following titles:
Alien Vs Predator
The Punisher
Catwoman
The Chronicles of Riddick
Van Helsing
Soul Plane

Wait a minute. In another thread you name Ocean's Twelve amongst your best for the year. Here you rate the mediocre Confessions of A Dangerous Mind over Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind!?! And to think I always appreciated your tastes in film.

Wendersfan, methinks you have a crush on George Clooney. To shame!

Van Helsing, The Punisher and Dogville all scarred me deep inside my secret place.

Alexander-Vangelis score rocked, everything else...

AvP
Christmas with the Kranks
Manchurian Candidate-reviews made it sound great, what did they know?
The Village-interesting build-up, but pay-off was more of a rip-off IMO

No, I have a crush on Steven Soderbergh, and I've never done anything to hide the fact.

I saw a lot of bad movies this year, but as someone else said, it usually takes a lot for me to regret seeing anything. In fact, I tend to like really awful movies. The only one I really kind of regret seeing is Troy. It was just disappointing.

The Day After Tommorow, for reasons I'm sick of hearing myself rant about. I should've stayed home and watched 10.5

Oops, edited to add The Village in there. Never again, M. Night.

Haha, well, we must keep in mind Ebert is, after all, the guy who wrote this

Oh, and, er, The Village, as many others have stated. Guess that's about it. I saw it for free as well

Lemony Snicket's an unfortunate movie. I only went to about 10-15 movies in the theaters all year unfortunately, and I enjoyed every one but Lemony, it was the first movie I considered walking out of in a very very long time.

completely agree, but i can't say i regretted seeing them. they at least prompted endless spirited discussions with fans of these works. now, open water is a different story altogether, imo. this is a film completely devoid of entertainment and artistic merit.
