The sad thing is that I cut-and-pasted it from the Apple site . . . should have paid closer attention to something that came from Apple.

Honeymooners -

Naked Fame - I'm not even sure I know what the subject of the documentary is supposed to be.

Longest Yard - This was a fun movie when it was first released, but I really don't think it needed a remake.

Sahara - Mindless, eye candy, action film . . . could be fun.

Thanks for the links, Ryo.

Honeymooners - they should all die.
Naked Fame - pass!
Longest Yard (Superbowl Ad) - I will see anything Adam Sandler puts out... even a rehash of the prisoner vs. guard sports movie cliche.
Sahara (Superbowl Ad) - no idea what it's about, just a busy trailer. Maybe I wasn't paying attention?

The Nomi Song movie looks fascinating.

One of my most vivid memories from the 70's was seeing Nomi sing back up for Bowie on Saturday Night Live. I mean that image has stuck with me all these years.

The Ballad of Jack and Rose - Looks pretty promising. It'll be nice to see what Daniel Day-Lewis will do after such a long hiatus (especially considering that he had such a great performance in Gangs Of New York).

The Interpreter - Political, action, suspense flick . . . hard to tell how this will do. The cast is great, but in that genre, the strength of the story is what will make or break the film.

Cry Wolf - High school slasher . . . ho-hum . . .

Thanks LorenzoL!

well, to be fair its not an actual trailer. it's what we call a "sizzle reel" designed to promote the film(s) to theater owners, investors, distributors, etc -- not the audience. besides, in an actual trailer you can't show anyone being shot, stabbed, or mutilated unless its a red band trailer. further, you can't use rob zombie songs publicly without paying thru the nose for it. and i doubt very much that they did.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

The only really really cool movies coming out (of the ones in this thread) oseem to to be Unleashed and Sin City. The others seem to have been done before. Except maybe for Hitchhikers.

They shouldn't have done the whole "red eye" effect on Murphy. Bad idea.

Herbie

Red Eye has a good cast. But, uh ... the trailer didn't really give much away. I'll hold comment.

Layer Cake:

Winter Solstice: LaPaglia is all grown up. Looks real good. Michelle Monaghan looks like Liv Tyler. Also, anyone know that song in the soundtrack?

Bad News Bears: , I'm sorry .. I love Billy Bob.

That's all for now...

The Island

Looks o.k., reminds me of some movie from the 70's that I can't think of.
