Too bad the two most important things for a solid movie don't make your description of this turd of a movie, trigger, script and dialog.

One more.. Poltergeist 3, and I know almost everyone hates that movie, but it scared the crap out of me when I was a kid so I have to include it.

I agree that Bad Boys II was much better than Bad Boys.

I never really understood why so many people hate this movie with such a passion

Blade 2. I didn't like it as much as the original after seeing it at the theatre but since I've bought it on dvd it has grown on me.

Eddie & The Cruisers 2: Eddie Lives

Eddie and the Cruisers 2: Eddie Lives is a very underrated sequel. I think it answered all the questions about Eddie Wilson, the Cruisers' lead singer, that the first film had. Watch both movies together. Great stuff.

Except one. Why hasn't Eddie aged? The first movie is told in a series of flashback interviews with Eddie's bandmates years (maybe a decade or more) after Eddie's "death." During the "present day" interview parts the band characters are all significantly older looking than they appear in flashback sequences. Even at the end when we see Eddie's reflection in a window, he looks much older. And not just because he has a beard, either.

In Eddie Il, he looks no older than he appeared throughout the first movie.

Back on topic, I can't think of any underrated sequels. Not to say all sequels have been bad, just that I can't think of any that are underrated.

As far as underrated, Scream 2 and Halloween 4 are the two that keep coming back to me. I liked Scream 2 better than the first and I think a lot of people dismiss Halloween 4 just because it's the 4th part to a franchise. Some have said Nightmare on Elm Street 2, but the only thing I like about that is that Freddy is still scary and not just a wise-ass weenie. The Freddy makeup is the best in 2, if I remember correctly. While I wasn't all that keen on Matrix Reloaded, I was one of the only people I know of that liked Revolutions. Oh yeah, Friday the 13th Part 6 is fairly underrated in my opinion also.

Alien 3. I even liked the butchered theatrical release.

OK - how 'bout Fright Night II. The original was a pretty decent vampire flick. The sequel was panned by critics but was pretty fun.

Sorry to nitpick daniel18, but Godfather II underrated? Hardly. It won best film and is considered in many circles to be superior to the original. It's on a pretty short list with the best films of all-time.

Alien 3 - always loved this movie, even the theatrical version. Hate Resurrection though.
Austin Powers 2 - better than the original IMHO.
Matrix Revolutions - better than Reloaded
Naked Gun 2 1/2
V Final Battle
Star Trek III
Return of the Jedi

Weekend At Bernies II - I love this move for some reason
Major League II - No joking, i've seen this movie at least 200 times (i worked at a video store for a long time, and it's a PG baseball movie, and we could only watch PG movies. i've also seen the sandlot and rookie of the year at least 100 times each)

Absolutely, although hardly anyone agrees with us.

It's by far the most complex and interesting as well as the glue that holds them all together as one story (although the first stood well on it's own).

i liked this too. however, i think this is one of the most didactic movies i can think of. we have from almost start to finish, the notion of exploited dinosaurs thrust in our face. vaughn working for peta or greenpeace, the cruelty to the whiny baby trex, the sappy 'sending the trex home' ending...

the biggest mistake has to be the godzilla reference in san diego. while the first movie as all about humans thrust in a dinosaur's environment, i really think they should have taken the dinosaur thrust in a human's environment. it would be hella scary if that actually happened and yet, we've got the trex making asian guys run, rolling orange 66 balls down the road, and drinking from a pool. way to turn an otherwise serious movie into a joke.

we get that dinosaurs have feelings too.

the lost world was a decent book. why they decided to abandon it, i'll never know. perhaps the chameleon-like dinosaur was just too cool an idea for audiences to take. so they opted for trex, the comedian.
