Not bad. Surprised to see such harsh words about a fan made trailer since i doubt most people could make it better.

To have tried and failed or never tried or at all? Which is the true failure?

I thought it was pretty neat. Some good ideas, and good production design, though I kept expecting Brendon, Jason and Melissa to pop up.

I'd watch the movie.

Give me a break. This thing was pathetic. Can you seriously imagine a movie where an old ass Dick Grayson decided to come back to fight crime wearing his lame ass Robin child suit? How the holy hell did it even fit? The sonofabitch is supposed to be NIGHTWING! Also, what in god's name was with all the superhero cameos? Where they just completely bored out of their minds that they decided to see what the hell was going on? Im surprised the freakin' Aqua Teen Hunger Force didn't show up just because they could!

Nightwing would have been better and more fan friendly. Robin is pretty much the joke of the batman franchise. Sure J6P wouldn't know who nightwing is off the bat, but atleast it would cater to the audiance that actually does watch these.

Any comic fan worth his salt should recognize The Green Goblin's Last Stand as the best fanfilm ever. It's 50 minutes long!!! you can download it (legally, i might add to all you mods) at Gamespy's Fileplanet.

Can anyone give me a one paragraph or so synopsis of Nightwing for those of us that aren't comic readers? I've heard of him, but that is all.

Pretty much Dick grew up, got into a little tiff with batman, growing pains type of shit and dropped the robin suit. Put on a different outfit and became Nightwing.

Robin was then replaced with many other little boys as if batman was Micheal Jackson. Nightwing is pretty much Just adult dick. He has had flings with huntress and Batgirl.

Pretty much the sum of it.

As a comic fan, more importantly a Batman fan, I have to say I was dissapointed with this.. The problem this has is the same one all the other fan films have, they try to cram to much into five mintues. There is no real point to having Superman / Wonder Woman / Green Latern / Chief O'Hara / Pengiun / The Joker / Catwoman / Riddler all in five mintues.

I also agree that it would of made more since to use the Nightwing character. Dick Grayson becomes Nightwing. He doesnt' drop off the face of the earth, instead he drops the Robin outfit and becomes Nightwing..

All n all, while I know I couldn't do better, I also have to look at it as a fan film , made for fan's, by the fan's.. While evaulating it on those terms, I still find it falls short. I know most of us fans would of prefered the Nightwing character and less cameo's.

How lame is it to have a picture of you and Bruce as B&R on your desk? That cracked me up!

And Supes shouldn't flinch when punched.
Just a little sidenote on Supes flinching....If anyone read the Funeral for a Friend series and remembers when Bats decked Superman...he says something such as, "You're lucky I rolled with it or you could've broke your hand."

I love seeing little fanboys nitpick and trash something when there isn't a chance in hell that they could've done it.

It was a good effort and if there is ever a feature film made, I'd see it.

Just because we do not like it does not mean we are fanboys nitpicking and just trashing it because we are jealous or something. They made it, expect crit to be done on it. I do not think it is a good effort at all, neither was Dead End. If anything, the people making the films are 'ultimate fanboys'.

This trailer is pure cheese, and I seriously began to laugh during it. Especially at Robin's poor acting skills.

It illustrates perfectly why costumes especially need to be updated for the screen. And is this an homage to the old Adam West series and trying to make it darker? Batgirl is even in her purple outfit instead of her comic book attire and we have seem to have O'hera in there.

I just find the whole thing odd.

Damn. I guess im one of the few but I loved it. For a fan made film/trailer i thought it was great. Would it make a good proper movie? Nope, but for a fan film (that target fanboys) it served it's purpose. If you go into this looking for citizen kane surely you'll be disappointed.

For the record I liked Dead End as well.

I do think it would have made more sense for them to go with Nightwing though. Cause a 32 year old Robin just doesn't compute.

I thought it was pretty good.

Perhaps Grayson came back as Robin because Batman had died. Did the public at large (the ones in the comic) or even most super heroes know that Nightwing = Robin? If not then Robin avenging Batman makes more sense. Then again it looks like in the filmmaker's version Nightwing never existed, seeing as how Grayson was out of shape and leading a normal life.

Man, they really threw in EVERYTHING from the DC Universe into that flick, including the kitchen sink.

How long would that actual movie be? Five hours???

Anyone watch the Pieces of the Puzzle? Basically a documentary about how the shots were done, inspirations, homages and the lengths they go to to get the shots, including tresspassing, fraud, constructing garage doors out of painted cardboard and the difficulty of getting a playing card to cooperate with the desired shot. Actually interesting, as good as any other behind the scenes documentary. And to think that when this guy was a kid, playing Superfriends with his buddies, he always had to be Robin (which he admitted was just a step above the Wonder Twins) because he was the youngest. Maybe some redemption there, showing that Robin could be an interesting character.

Still got some cheese to it though. When seeing scenes of Gordon and O'Hara, I kept thinking of the Beastie Boys video for Sabotage.

i really cant tell - is this movie for real or not? seems too professional to be a fake or some joke but its too cheesy to seem real.

and when did superman become bad? same for wonder woman. and i think i saw green lantern in there too.
