Marlon Brando dead???

A station in Phoenix is saying on their website that Marlon Brando has died: http://www.kpho.com/Global/story.asp...3&nav=23KtOOSA

Now, since none of the major sources are reporting this, it seems to be a hack or a mistake. However, the following was posted on the newsgroup alt.obituaries:

...it's no hack. I just called the news department at KPHO-TV in Phoenix and they claim a source close to Brando tipped off a reporter there, and the major news organisations are holding off of the story until Brando's family makes a statement...
We'll see.

I heard this on another forum a little while ago (same news source).

Hope it's not true.

While I too hope it is not true, it sure as hell wouldn't be surprising....

First Pauly Shore, next Marlon Brando? Who will complete the triumvirate of Great Dead Actors this week?

The only story that I had heard about him yesterday was that he was bankrupt and living in some small one room apartment or something. They said that he hid his two Oscars so the creditors couldn't find them. Hmmmm. Weird.

Here's the link to the "story" on KPHO. I haven't seen it on CNN or MSN

I'll believe it when the New York Times says it's so.

What the hell....

you all mourn him like it's absolutely sure he's dead, despite only ONE news source reporting so.

But they're using the same source that we've seen already.

Fox News is reporting it now, so it must be so.

Marlon Brando, age 80, dead in an LA hospital.

A great actor... he will be missed... now to go spin On The Waterfront, The Godfather and Apocalypse Now.

Since when was Pauly Shore considered a "Great Actor"?

And he's not dead btw.

R.I.P. Marlon Brando

Even though it had to happen, still a shame. A great actor, even if he never quite lived up to his potential in later years.
