Guess I'll dissent but this looks highly generic 300-Gladiator crap to me, the music is terrible and it doesn't look a patch on the original which I have fond memories of. $100 says the Kraken will be some huge tentacled CGI monstrosity too.

Was talking about more on the aspect of Odd creatures vs. people. The Spartans fought real creatures (well CG but you get my point)...albeit stylized the fuck out of..but real nonetheless

Also...I want a jam packed remastered edition of the original flick on Blu. I loved seeing this on TV.

The music in the trailer isn't representative of what'll be in the movie. And hey, keep on enjoying the original, you'll probably get a new DVD/BD release of that to coincide with this one.

Hot damn. I love the original in a "I was a kid and didn't realize how cheesy it was" but this looks like a great update. The creature and monster designs from the first movie are iconic to me, but the movie really needed a modern update.

Sad that I didn't see Pegasus or the Kraken but I guess it's still a ways off.

I hope that's a temp score, because if they are going with a rock influenced score, I expect more from the frontman of Muse (he's one of the co-composers).

Was Sam Worthington a good choice for Perseus? I looked him up on IMDB (awful recent changes with the listings there, BTW), and I haven't seen anything he's done yet. I didn't really care to see the Terminator movie.

The original was a favorite of mine as a kid, and is still a fun guilty pleasure.

The remake looks GREAT, even though the music in the trailer is ridiculous. :lol:
