That trailer was pretty damn kick-ass! I like the rock music moving the action along, and I know they won't be going that route for the actual film. Effects work looks pretty solid. I wonder why this is getting dumped in March and not going in as a summer tentpole?

That...WB released 300 and Watchmen (both Snyder films too) and had pretty good success with those weeks....wtf are you talking about, sir? :)

This looks great. The rock music was an odd choice but it's more of an announcement teaser than a trailer so I'm sorta okay with it.

But this looks like it could be much better than the absolute bore that was 300. At least I didn't notice a copious amount of coma-inducing slow-mo shots.

Eh, don't know about much better... I'd say it's good for 150-175 mill (assuming it's a decent movie).

Well I mean it looks like a lot of fun. Unlike 300 that never lived up to the promise of the first major action setpiece.

Another BIG fan of the original. Obviously, a large part of my enjoyment of the original is the amazing work that Ray Harryhausen did. Would've been very cool if they had gone old school with the effects.

Not sold on this remake just yet.

I may be in the minority, but I think this looks like garbage. "Someday, someone's gonna have to take a stand." With words like "gonna" (during ancient greek times) in the film, you know they're keeping the ridiculous music.

Seems like a big waste. The Michael-Bay cuts in the trailer don't give me much hope. The original is a gem, but this....uh, not sold.

So sad, IMHO.

I liked the original, it hasn't age well in some parts of it. Due to the release of this remake I hope there's a damn fine Blu of it. I don't think the old school effects would work out that great in today's world. I mean. It'd look clucky, as much as I love RH's work it wouldn't work in a film of today's.

Yeah, I like 300. It would've been great IF they had taken out any and all parts of specifically...the queen's part in the story...she dragged the hell out of the movie. She was nice to look at though..I may have kept the sex scene though..:)

I was really hoping the Gates of Fire would be filmed. That would have been a much better telling of the story. One can only hope. Clash doesn't look bad and I will for sure check it out.

if you're going for authenticity, a classical score is just as out of place by more than 2000 years (in comparison to Mozart and Beethoven)
