interesting. I'm cautiously optimistic as opposed as to what I was earlier being excited and whatnot. Some of those clips worry me, but while others are pretty damn good. Like before I hope it's good when put together. I don't mind all the clips online. I like it. Clips don't fade me into thinking I'll watch it or not. It merely just gives me an idea of what I'm going into.

Re: Zack Snyder talks Watchmen
I can't believe people still like characters that talk in that gruff cliched voice (Rorschach). Isn't anyone sick of this? I know he's supposed to talk like that, but i'm still sick of it. The Spirit was talking like that too in the Spirit flick. Is it possible for a private detective character to talk to oneself without using that voice? Or is that the only option to sound "cool"?

If true, that has to be one of the retarded things I've read in some time.

It's not a big a deal, though.

I have no problem with Rorschach's voice - I think it's spot-on...im just saying in general, I'm tired of the gruff voice cliche of a character that walks the streets like a private detective...

But...that's more or less what he is. Other than The Dark Knight, has there been that many in films over the years?

Re: Zack Snyder talks Watchmen
Despite owning the graphic novel, I haven't found the time to read it before the movie next week.
However, I just started watching the first couple of chapters of the Watchmen Motion Comic yesterday and am finding it a good way to prep for the film. The motion they were able to give to the comic panels is more than I expected and very well done. My only complaint is why they only have the one guy, the narrator, doing all the voices (even the female characters). Were they specifically going for that "books on tape" feel?
Btw, anyone know when Chapter 12 of the motion comic is supposed to be released?

Re: Zack Snyder talks Watchmen
The Punisher in the last two Punisher movies
Wolverine in the X-Men
Batman in the Batman movies
Marv in Sin City
Clint Eastwood in any movie
There's nothing really wrong with that voice. Sure, it's an interesting stylish form of acting. But I just can't stop thinking parady whenever I hear the "I speak in a low, monotone gruff voice because i'm troubled and violent" voice now. Try doing the voice yourself, say a couple sentences in that voice, and you will see how funny it seems.

Will be watching this on IMAX with the missus when it comes out.
Does anyone know if the entire movie will be played in IMAX ratio, or only certain scenes like in Dark Knight?
I still don't know if I'd get annoyed watching an entire movie in fullscreen when I'm so used to the cinematography being framed better in widescreen.

i would, but don't you think it a tad early? there are critical reviews, but none of us yet. i would want to see if people are going to see a sneak in the coming days and then do it, otherwise it would be all non-review posts. i would make the poll public too until next friday so there aren't any crappers posting for the sake of.

I hope they save something for the movie.
