This was one of the few movies that I really enjoyed this year. I would say it's the best of 2003 so far, but that wouldn't really be saying much.
I had pretty high expectations for this when I went to see it in the theater, and I still managed to come out pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. Just a fun time all around.

Enjoyable movie but forgettable and overlong. A silly movie based on a Disneyland ride about pirates would've been really good as a tight 1 hour 45 film, not an overstretched repetitive piece of fluff that approaches the length of ****** Apocalypse Now.

Saw it in the theater and though it was pretty good but nothing special. Saw it again on DVD and now I think it's the best pure popcorn adventure movie since Raiders. Yeah, it's a little long, but how much of a criticism is that really?
The music does suck, though.
