I was about 5 rows from the back of auditorium and got sick. I always sit right in the middle of auditorium when watching a movie. I am glad to hear that I wasn't the only person who got sick from watching this movie.

The only time I even noticed the camera work was during the fight scene. I wish they had gone a different route during that part, but for everything else I was fine. I guess I should feel blessed.

The question is why would you want to see the second part before the first part?
The first part is the first chapter.

Yes, you are definitely going to want to watch the first Bourne to understand the second Bourne. They refer to, and you see, characters from the first one, and if you don't know what the context is, you are going to be confused.

I think you'd be able to figure out what's what pretty quickly, but I still would see the first before the second.

I don't remember her in the first one either. What scenes was she in?

As for the movie, it was decent, but I felt too predictable. Like others just hard to follow some of the action with the shaky camera. Didn't make me sick, but definitely difficult to follow. People who get sick from this type of motion should try to sit in the very back, which would also be the highest seat and thus your eyes won't have as much compensating to do for the shaking and theortically should make you less sick. I know someone said it worked for them and someone said it didn't. But if any amount of shaking will do it, then there is probably no where in the theater that will work.

Anyone else think that Matt Damon is not convincing as a secret agent type?

If you are talking about Missouri, then yes, yes it is.
Spoiler:
It is revealed at the end that that is Bourne's (ahem, David Webb's) hometown.

As for my 2¢.

I really liked this sequel. It had a compelling story, some compelling new characters and acting, and some hella-cool action scenes. Though the shakes distracted me very briefly, I do wish some scenes had been shot with more steady viewpoints, as many have said before. I would still rate the Ronin chase scenes just a hair above though. I give The Bourne Supremacy four and a half out of five stars.

Also, it became much more apparent to me that they definitely planned this from the beginning to be a trilogy. So we may look back on this, after Ultimatum, much like the middle film in the Matrix trilogy. There were more questions raised then answered, so that the finale can tie up the loose ends (O.K. so maybe not so much like The Matrices films ). In any event I really, really enjoyed it, and as someone said before Matt Damon is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors, I can't wait for the sequel and Brothers Grimm.

For crying out loud, what is with the rush of these kinds of questions? Kill bill was another one that got this treatment. Is 2 hours really that much time to ask of you in order to see the continuation of the movie you need to watch?

Sure you can do it.. but why?

I agree. I hope the third ends with the same song, just to complete the motif.

I once watched chapters 4,5,6 of a certain movie series before watching 1,2,3.
In fact, I still haven't seen 3.

As for Bourne, I can't imagine not watching the first one first. If for no other reason, at least some of the camera shots last for more than a millisecond without cutting to something else or bouncing all over the place.

I'll believe Matt over Ben anyday.

I thought Damon did a very good job in the first film.

I thought he was perfect for the role. Jason Bourne is not a James Bond type of secret agent (flashie and over the top womanizer), but if he was, Damon wouldn't have fit. He portrayed a dark and cold killer with an unbelievable sets of skills perfectly in the first one (I have yet to see the second).

Definitely see the first one before seeing Supremacy. Then you'll see how much better Doug Liman was than Paul Greengrass. Plus, it'll definitely help you understand the story better.

Yes, the books are fantastic, particularly the first one. They are completely different from the movies aside from the title character and his amnesia.
