Those dots are placed there to try to track pirates.

they use different set of dots for each region I assume and then see which ones show up online. they then narrow it down to track down where exactly the CAM pirates are actually taping the bootleg from.

Just another way to try to stop film bootlegging.

Loved it. Very entertaining andvintage QT. I did have one question though:

Spoiler:
Near the end while Budd is talking but before "the ending" they flash to BM and she says "How did you find me?" and a man, either Bill or Budd replies, "cottonmouth" or something like it? Is that correct or did he say something else? Was that Ellie Driver's codename?

Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks

I found those "dots" to be very distracting. Everytime they popped up, my eyes always were always drawn to it.

Trying to settle a dispute w/ a friend. Thanks.

You're right about that...but was boss tanaka naked or did he have some sort of underwear on? i thought i remember a shot of O-ren from behind, and he had undies on, but my friend disagrees.

I don't know why it could possibly be important, but Boss Tanaka was in fact naked.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but....

In your opinion, can you state how gory you personally believe the film is? Apparently it's not unwatchable, but I even read Uma Thurman telling fans it might be too much? Is it really nasty, in your face violence? Is it silly, unrealistic violence? I can handle a good amount, but I'm curious how serious it gets with body parts coming off and gore and all that...

honestly, though it is very violent, I think the gore level has been talked about too much. I was expecting A LOT worse. Believe me, its not DEAD ALIVE.

Just took in my second viewing. Still my favorite movie of the year by leaps and bounds, Tarrentino and Uma both deserve Oscar nods in my book. I can't BELIEVE how great a job Uma did as an action star. Taught, great look, moves incredibly well......she must have trained endlessly to be so convincing!! This is a must by for me as soon as it hits the DVD shelves. Movies are meant to entertain and I was WAY entertained!

My friend wanted me to go see this with him last night. I knew it wasn't going to be my type of film but he said he would pay my way and if I did end up liking it I would pay him back.

I honestly can't pick out why it didn't seem to groove with me. The music was the only thing that stood out as being really good. I thought the different styles of the movie were used not to be different and unique.....bit instead used as a way to get away with a mass amount of blood splattering without giving the ratings board a heart attack. I don't care for Anime and the only time I've really wanted to see it was the Animatrix shorts.

I probably would of been curious about this movie for some time and if I hadn't watched it I most likely would of caved later on down the road and bought the DVD releases. I've now satisfied that little bit of curiosity and saved myself the cost of the DVDs.

I almost fear giving a negative review but I think I wrote enough to back up my reasons. I don't mind negative responses in movie threads as long and it says more than "this movie sucks". That's when I get ticked off.

Not everybody loves every movie.

I had issues with the movie (couldn't get into it at times) but I think I was trying too hard, I can never relax the first time I see movies - same thing happend with X2 when I first saw (which I now like, a lot)

I had pretty high expectations going into this film for a quite a while, then when the reviews started coming in they just rose even more. After catching it this afternoon, all I have to say is that Kill Bill Vol. 1 beat those expectations, and this is easily the best release I have seen this year. Everything just clicks, and is just so amazing to watch! Simply WOW!

Quentin Taratino's direction, the cinematography, the music, the dark humor, and Uma Thurman's fantasic performance work incredibly well in the film. I loved every second of Kill Bill. The use of color and black and white was nicely done, and surpurb use of sound effects gives the film a great extra boost. The action is simply a joy to watch, and I haven't really seen any Japanese kung-fu type films, but my interest has significantly increased. It's great to see Taratino go out there in showing the action in all of its splurting blood glory.

This is the second film in a row that has increased my interest in Japanese culture, Lost in Translation made me want to visit Japan, and now Kill Bill makes me want to see the Japanese films that influenced Kill Bill.

I will be seeing this movie again very shortly.

Wow, I loved Kill Bill. Best movie of the year for me so far.

Usually, for me, when I place high expectations on a movie, I get disappointed. But Kill Bill delivered!

Good movie, my third best this year, behind Whale Rider and American Splendor. I just wish they hadn't split it up, since I wanted it to keep going.

As far as the violence level, I thought it was pretty violent. It was so over the top though that I thought it was funny--like the Black Knight in Monty Python, only more. My wife didn't agree, so it looks like I'll be seeing V. 2 without her.

Did I miss something? Where in the film do they mention that Bill is the father?

Well, assuming she isn't lying, Uma tells him that right as he's shooting her in the head.

It's Uma's first line - she actually doesn't get to finish it, because
Spoiler:
just as she's telling him that the baby's his, he shoots her in the head

Okay, I was wondering if it might be that. I couldn't really understand what she was saying. I was planning to go see it again anyway, so I guess I'll have to pay closer attention next time.

I don't go to many movies, but I've never seen so many people walk out of a theater during the movie.

They left in various groups at different points (I think a family left during the anime sequence, more people left after the first decapitation, others sprinkled throughout the movie). One group was particularly annoying and decided they had to show their disgust by stamping their feet as loud as possible on the way out.

Hey trigun, curious - you like it?

When I saw it, 3 people walked out at the very beginning, after that everyone stayed put - I wish the guy next to me would have left tho, I ****ing hate when people talk on cell phones during stuff like this.

My friend commented that 3 couples walked out of his showing during the anime sequence... I honestly don't get the hate toward stylized animation.
