Ooh, I like the idea of Gary Oldman but his characterizations tend to be a little too psychotic. Bond villiains tend to tilt a little more to the sociopathic. Beat Takeshi would make a great villain, IMHO.

Hmmmmmmmmm...a good question. Lots of interesting choices so far (Connery was a good one, I thought). Here's a few off the top of my head:

Plus I'd actually like to see a Bond villain get away at the end of the movie again, so you could have a bit of storyline continuity between films. I think that guys like Scaramanga and Alec Trevalyn could've been even greater had they lasted through more than one film.
