Can't wait to see Madsen in this. Really wish I hadn't read the script.

As far as I know, Feb. 20th is still the release date.

I saw this poster in an advertisement in the latest issue of Tribute magazine (free movie theatre mag in Canada). Note the Alliance-Atlantis logo in the lower right corner (Miramax's distributor in Canada). I was curious if this was based on an official Miramax poster design or an unofficial Alliance mock-up (note that the music is still credited to the RZA, with no mention of Robert Rodriguez, almost as if the credits are a direct copy of the Vol 1 poster. Hmmmm).

Variety: "Kill Bill 2" delayed 'til April

Well, we've all heard rumors, but now it looks definite. No KB2 next month.

Variety is reporting it's coming in April instead. Darkhorizons.com: Variety reports that Quentin Tarantino's action sequel has definitely left its February 20th US release slot and is expected to land on April 16th instead as hinted at by the actors recently in media interviews.

WTF. It was originally one movie, so I'm assuming it was all filmed, why the delay?

Editing takes time. Post-production takes time. You don't just stop filming and send everything out to the theaters.

When is Vol 1 supposed to be out on DVD?

I'm kind of glad to hear of the delay...I couldn't find the free time to see the first one in the theaters, so I'd like a chance to watch it on DVD, so I 'll have a chance to see Vol 2 in the theater.

Not quite surprised here. I never saw it in theatres because I refused to fuel the Miramax money machine by supporting their decision to make Kill Bill two separate features. That being said, this might be a good thing for the movie. It gets a spring release, so the audience might be a bit bigger than it would have had it been released in February. However, I don't understand pushing back the dvd release of Vol 1 until April. The only reason for that could be to raise awareness for Vol 2.
