has anyone seen MI-5?

has anyone seen MI-5? it airs on a&e.

i have never seen the show, but i heard its kind like "24". season 1 dvd comes out on tuesday, and i am thinking about buying it.

here is the dvd Description

The BBC network strikes again with this series. MI-5 concerns a group of undercover UK security agents who are not only forced to lie to the dangerous groups that they infiltrate, but they must lie to their families as well. Incorporating cutting edge technology, this taut thriller is television at its most inventive.

There is some discussion in the DVD Talk section about this show. Sounds good to me, as I plan to pick up the DVD set the first chance I get.

I have seen the show and there are some similarities to 24. I think the show is very good and I'm tickled it's coming out on DVD. I haven't seen it from the beginning and would like to. If it is only 6 eps I'm not surprised. For some reason that is a season to them.

BTW, for those trying to find info on the show, you might want to look for it by the show's real title: Spooks. It's called MI-5 in the US. There was another thread before where someone couldn't find info on the show because they didn't know this.

It's a great show.

The finales for season 1 and 2, they're both cliffhangers, were better then almost anything that's on tv over here.

Be careful going through the other thread since their are some spoilers.

Hey, E!

Well, it will be awhile before anymore MI-5 will show up in America because the next new season hasn't been shown in Britain yet.

Here's the longer thread on MI-5/Spooks:

Love the show. So much better than 24.

You won't be disappointed.

My biggest fear was that the R1 release would be the editted shows, but they are not, they are the full uncut British versions

Yes, I heard the episodes in the U.S. are missing approx. 15 minutes from the British airings. That explains some of the editing/cutting.

Matt Roush of TV Guide mentioned in his weekly "Ask Matt" column that A&E would start airing the new season in January.

I saw the season 3 premiere, and it was excellent! I don't see films that good, and to think this is just a BBC TV show.

I'll spoiler my comment, though it's a minimal spoiler of the new cast addition and its effect on the show's chemistry.

Spoiler:
Wonder how Adam Carter will fit in with the rest of the cast as it was getting awfully crowded in the camera frame when the 4 spooks were meeting for lunch at the end of the episode.

Finished up episodes 2 and 3, and the show is compelling and addictive. The spy-on-spy segment in the third episode was pretty fun. I still don't trust Will (Zoe's new guy), and Danny's a bit of a mess.
