If I'm not mistaken, the South Park line was always cut but South Parks fan websites at the time (and there were tons) had mentioned the line and also there were bootlegs floating around of early episodes that still had the line (usually the boots were of the 2 original Spirit of Christmas shorts and uncut episodes were to fill out the tape. I'm transferring my old tapes to DVD and will run by it if I still have it within a week or so.)

The Biggs scene, I was convinced I saw it not at the theater, but on the first network airing. Now I am convinced it was on a "making of" doc on Star Wars around the period, because I also remember seeing the Jabba footage years before they CGI'd it and put it into the special edition.

Hmm... put me in the camp with people who swear they saw Mia Sara wave her hand in front of Cameron's face.

But, then again I remember as a kid thinking the scene with Biggs was in Star Wars (actually I got it from the Star Wars Story Book wich actally had a photo of their conversation).
There is a diference between an 8 year old's memory and a 18 year olds though.

I remember this from the trailers for Major League -and I remember being surprised when the joke was cut from the film, as it was very funny. They put the scene in one of the sequels using different actors (can't recall which sequel but I think it was #2), but the delivery wasn't half as good as it was in the original.

Still have yet to see that line. I recorded that episode the night it aired on an east coast feed (first to air) and it is just like the current DVDs. So unless they changed it later, then changed it back, it just does not exist. However, I would love for someone to prove me wrong.

While TVTome refers to it as a deleted scene that once did appear in a broadcast, it appears to be the only one to do so. I remember watching that episode the night it was originally broadcast and the line cut off before Michael Jackson was mentioned specifically. I did find some references on sites to it being in cuts shown overseas, but I don't believe it was ever broadcast that way here. Just a case of people filling in the line in their heads and then swearing they saw it when it was originally broadcast.

As for the Ferris Bueller one, if only i could find my old VHS tape....but I don't remember the scene in question in any version that I have ever seen of the movie.

Answering a question from months ago (in a thread I posted in years ago):

I actually moved during the release. Living in Storrs, Connecticut and saw FBDO in Hartford first then moved back to Texas and saw it again there. No Sloane disrobing scene either time. I was 16 years-old at the time.

I've also watched it several times on television. My purchased VHS copy doesn't have the scene. My taped-off-HBO tape doesn't have the scene, and my DVD obviously doesn't have the scene.

I've watched the movie on non-HBO cable television and don't recall that scene being there, but I don't have a tape from "commercial" television I could go back to.

I think one of us needs to track down John Hughes and ask him if they even shot the scene in question. It's not like he's so busy making movies to take our call.

I thought it would be fun to ressurect this thread with some new info. I found the shooting script for Ferris Bueller which has a lot of material that never ended up in the movie, and sad to say, it does not contain a scene of Sloane getting undressed while Cameron watches. There is dialogue to that effect, but no actual scene. Here is the link, and I'll quote the scene for those who don't want to have to dig through it (sorry the formatting is all screwy): http://corky.net/scripts/ferris.html

185 CU. JACUZZI JET 185

UNDERWATER SHOT. A hyrdojet spews a gush of air bubbles.

CU. BLASTER

A finger pushes the PLAY button on the cassette. MUSIC COMES UP.

CU. BEER CAN LID

The finger pops a beer.

CU. OREO PACKAGE

A painted fingernail pierces the cellophane wrapper.

INT. JACUZZI

Ferris and Sloane are in Sloane's parents' Jacuzzi. Their

clothes are tosssed around the deck. Cameron's been placed

in a patio chair at the edge of the Jacuzzi. He's still

catatonic. He's mummbling softly. Ferris is drinking a beer.

Sloane's eating Oreos.

FERRIS

You feeling any better, Cameron?

SLOANE

The water's really nice. I wish

you'd come in.

CU. CAMERON

Staring into space.

CAMERON

Surgery...fire...move...

CU. SLOANE AND FERRIS

They look at each other. She offers him a cookie. He offers her his beer.

FERRIS

Cameron? Do you think this because
of the car or is it a combination
of everything shitty in your life?

CU. CAMERON

He doesn't respond.

CAMERON

Music...kiss...attack...

CU. SLOANE AND FERRIS

Sloane sips the beer.

FERRIS

You just can't deal with anymore
shit? The car took you into the
red zone? Time for a reality check?

SLOANE

Cameron? I could flip real easy, too.
There's nothing wrong with it. At one
time or another, everybody goes to
the zoo.

FERRIS

Maybe he was actually sick. Maybe
he wasn't bullshitting himself.

CU. CAMERON

No response.

CAMERON

Gesundheit...God...mercy...

EXT. BACKYARD

Ferris and Sloane watch their catatonic friend.

CU. CAMERON

He smiles.

CU. SLOANE

She leans forward and stares at Cameron.

CU. FERRIS

He cocks his head, wondering what Cameron's up to.

CU. CAMERON

He keels over forward.

EXT. BACKYARD

Cameron falls out of the chair and splashes down,
face-first, into the water. Sloane screams. Ferris leaps for
him.

UNDERWATER

Ferris struggles with Cameron's lifeless bulk.

CU. SLOANE

She's screaming. Ferris thrashes around in the water.

UNDERWATER

Ferris grabs Cameron's collar and rips him out of the water.

EXT. BACKYARD

Ferris sits Cameron on the edge of the Jacuzzi.

FERRIS

CAMERON!

CU. CAMERON

His eyes are closed. He's lifeless.

CU. FERRIS

His face is a mask of terror. He shakes Cameron.

CU. SLOANE

She's screaming.

CU. CAMERON

A smile spreads across his face.

CU. FERRIS

He sees the smile. He stops shaking Cameron.

EXT. JACUZZI

Ferris and Cameron are looking at each other. Sloane's still
screaming. She realizes that Cameron's okay. She stops
screaming.

SLOANE

What?

FERRIS

(Cameron)

You asshole!

Cameron's smiling.

SLOANE

What?

Ferris starts to laugh. Cameron explodes with laughter.
Sloane's bewildered.

SLOANE

What's so funny?

I'm not sure if someone else stated this already, but I think a lot of people imagined the scene in question as a result of fantasizing about what Mia Sara disrobing would have looked like had it actually played out.
I know I definitely fantasized about it

Sorry I can't ad anything of any value to this post......

Not to further the discussion (we wouldn't want that!), but she definitely does wave her hand in front of him, and it's during the scene where they are considering what else to do to help him not be catatonic. I believe it's in this moment (roughly):

I don't think anyone has mentioned this before. It sometimes happens that you see a scene in one movie, and then think you remember it being in a different movie. It's possible we've seen a movie (not FBDO) with a similar scene with different characters and just think it was Cam and Sloane. I can't think of an example now, but I know that has happened to me or someone I know before.

I just read through the complete thread again, and what saveferris suggested, the scene being from a completely different movie, has not been discussed before.

I read the complete thread before I posted. As for the resurrection, I'm interested in saving Ferris, that's all.

to saveferris

I see that you just joined. If you're going to hang around, you should pick a new name because there already is a Save Ferris, who's been around for long time.

How convenient that it's not readily available to you.

Of course, you probably heard Reese's line of dialogue about the Terminator reaching down Sara's throat and pulling her heart out and visually imagined it yourself but nah, that would make too much sense. Of course you have something as significant as undocumented "Terminator" footage on your "VHS copy back in the UK".

Then there's also the little issue of where the Terminator would actually do such a thing within the events of the movie but that, too is not important. What's important is that you SAY that this mythical footage exists so it must!

Re: Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Edited?

This scene exists! they played it only once when it aired on the USA network back in 1993. I didn't have a chance to tape it, but you GOTTA believe me!

My best friend's cousin's sister's uncle's neighbor remembers seeing it too. He has a VHS copy of the scene at his other house back in the UK. I'll ask him if he can retrieve it.

Why would he have an NTSC copy of a USA broadcast in the UK?

I smell bullshit.

Re: Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Edited?

I'm not going through 6 pages that are up to 5 years old, but I recall the following:

Towards the end of the film after the car goes off they are hanging out at somebody's pool. Cameron is sitting on the edge of the pool in a trance. Meanwhile Sloan and Ferris are in the background talking. I think at this point she may start undressing her shirt near the hot tub, but is interupted by Cameron falling off into the pool.

At this point, and it's been ages since I've viewed, Ferris dives in and brings Cameron out. Hunched over in her shirt Sloane waves her hand infront of Cameron to see if he is responsive.
