Matrix Reloaded has characters with names that MEAN something, so much so that you can spend hours researching and discussing their significance and meaning.

Now I didn't read any reports of people camping out to see THE MATRIX RELOADED like they did for the last 2 STAR WARS films, so it was a fair poll to pit these to Grand Movies.

Different movies. Can't really compare. But, still, would rather watch AOTC again and again. M:R would probably give me a headache with all that unintelligible double-speak that says very little.

AOTC easily! Never been big into the Matrix, but at least the original was a good film. Reloaded was just pure ass. Awful, pseudophilosophical technobabble that was just a chore to listen to. Terrible acting, worse than some parts of the AOTC love story. At least AOTC had Ewan McGregor, Ian McDiarmid, and Christopher Lee. Hell, Yoda gave a better performance than many in Reloaded. Repetitive, cartoony action sequences that really had no point. They were just there. Some had leveled this complaint at AOTC, but I think the action advances the story far more than it does in Reloaded. A stupid rave scene that was just terrible. I could go on.
The original Matrix was unique, and made sense without resorting to ridiculous long speeches full of headache inducing dialogue. Reloaded is just garbage. I actually enjoyed AOTC. Reloaded gave me a headache.
Of course, putting up a poll in this section is ridiculous. I learned that when I saw that Reloaded was winning a poll against Minority Report, and Reloaded isn't one third of the film Minority Report is.

While my opinion is not quite as lethal as Terrell's, his points are exactly why I choose AOTC. The things he pointed out are going to stick out much more once the hype clears up. The test of time will not be kind to TMR as it's "tween" demograph pandering is going to become more and more apparent to those that do not see it now.
The Star Wars movies, are timeless. You will show them to your kids, and when they grow up they'll show them to thiers.

I will go on record and say that comparing any two films who are not remakes of each other is Ridiculous. Minority Report and The Matrix were two way different films. Just like AOTC was different them aswell. Comparing films is like taking part of the special olympics.. Even if you win you're still a.....

I love both movies, and I'm a life long Star Wars fan, but I have to give the nnod to The Matrix Reloaded.
It simply has a more interesting plot and better dialogue IMO.
The action scenes are about equal IMO.

Yoda fight scene: cartoony and made no sense.
All Jedis fight in arena: No jedi showed skill like Darth Maul. Looked like a bunch of those goofs on t.v. who camped out to see the movie for months just hitting their sticks together.
Neo vs. 100 Agent Smiths: Never seen anything like that before.
Highway scene: Topped the ROAD WARRIOR road scene and that'saying a lot.
So for someone to say AOTC is better than MR because of the action, you have a better argument if you try to it with the love story.

Rather anyone can compare any two movies (regardless of how different) on the simple basis of which one they personally liked better.
To me that's all that matters. I couldn't give a crap less which movie is better, all that matters to me is which I enjoyed more as movies are 100% entertainment IMO.
