Dumb movie but it did have some style to it. Even though the oil scene was completely stupid, I must say that i have not really seen anything like it.

The main guy (can't remember his name) definitely has a certain charm about him.

I tried to watch Bandits right after this on Showtime-HD and ended up turning after an hour or so. Transporter at least held my interest.

for a "low budget" (Hollywood standard), this is one entertaining movie.... action movie to be exact

the only thing that really a turn off for me, the DVD

i'm thinking of getting the Japanese R2 with DTS-ES

I bought it cheap after buying The Italian Job and enjoying the one guy in that film. I just wanted another movie with him in it and The Transporter was the one I thought of first.

I was so disappointed in this movie. *yawn*

It never clicked with me. I rented it out to a few of the guys I work with and they didn't think much of it either. It was a very boring action movie with a weak cast. I certainly will not see part 2 when it comes to DVD.

Terrible.

I too saw this film on HBO HD a few nights ago. I should have turned it off ten minutes in, but it was in HD, so... you know. The dialogue was just dreadful. Did a high school student pen the script? I nearly choked on my on my drink when, towards the end of the movie, Jason Statham says, "she'd be better off if you were hit by a truck!".

Yep, that has to be one of the worst lines I've heard this year.

They should've called the film Trashporter. Aside from the chase scene, it's pretty aweful. I watched it in the threatres and almost wanted my money back.

I saw it on cable last night and was pretty disapointed. It had some good action sequences but it really just lacked everything else. the lead fella was good (forget his name) so props to him for doing the best he could with such a sucky movie. The grease fight was just plain stupid and the leading lady had such a BAD accent that most of the movie I never knew what the heck she was talking about, not really her fault I guess, but still...

Can't say I enjoyed this one at all, and I normally love car chase flicks. This one, though, turned into a bad combination of Ronin and The Bourne Identity (both excellent flicks).

Spoiler:
The entire scene with the house getting destroyed by those guys was pretty bad to begin with. Add in the scene on the bus in the warehouse, and the oil scene, and this movie was barely tolerable.

It's a shame, because the premise was so great, but the script, as another posted said, seemed to be written by a high school kid... one with no logic whatsoever.

D+ on this one, and it only manages to avoid a lower score because of the opening chase.
