I saw this movie with my wife and 2 kids, 6 and 4. We all enjoyed the movie, especially the kids.

I took my younger brother to see this, and for a film aimed directly at kids, I really found the movie enjoyable. It really has a kids James Bond feel, from incrediblely over the top villains (complete with secret hideout and henchman with a gimmick) with plans of world domination and preposterous action set pieces.

I don't know that I'd say its better than Spy Kids, as good perhaps, but its not the same type of movie. (And much better than Spy Kids 2....ugh)

It's not only this thread. This has become a common trend on this and other forums, where the people who would slam a movie are those who aren't even a target audience and would never see it in the first place .. but hey! they have an opinion alright, premature and out of place as it may be, and we should damn well all be duly informed of it.
