Saw this flick...wasn't too terrible.

It was certainly not as good as BFL, but it was entertaining. It's your typical spy kids/james bond jr. type of flick. It has a pretty ridiculous plot, some alright action sequences and a few comedic moments. Overall though, the film is just kind of bland and moves along at a fine pace...it's amusing but never exceeds expectations...

Angie Harmon is very hot in this movie, which is great. The cast does a decent job, but the movie feels a bit tired. It lacks the freshness and fun of the Spy Kids series...it feels like MGM took a rejected BOND script and just reworked it for Muniz and co. It has some pretty intense action scenes though, so it's not for really young kids (a 4 year old at my screening was being taken out the the theatre in the last quarter, and said to his dad "Dad, promise me we'll never buy this movie"...I don't think he was enjoying it ) Overall and alright family flick, but nothing exceptional and certainly not as good as Frankie Muniz's last pic (BFL)

No.

I don't think this movie is targeted at 22 year olds.

Although that Duff girl is kind of cute for a person that's underage

My daughter is 12, and she's chomping at the bit to see ACB. Unless she hooks up with a friend to , I certainly could sit through it.

She loves the Lizzie McGuire show, and as a family we always watch Malcom, so I'm guessing we fit the demographic.

Duff and Muniz are likeable, competent "child" actors, and while the film obviously isn't geared toward the 20-somethings and up and crowd, it doesn't seem to be any less hollow than Shanghai Knights or Just Married.
Last night while watching Malcom, my 11 yr old daughter asked of we could go. Unless it gets horendous reviews, we usually take the kids when they ask.

Yes, I think she's hot too. Although, she is young-she'll turn 16 in September, BUT she has a sister that just turned 18! Meet Haylie Duff:

This movie opens this weekend, so I wanted to bump the thread to see what people who got a chance to see it thought of it... While I initially wasn't too impressed, overtime and thinking back on the flick, I like it more than I originally did... I'm taking my younger sister to see it this weekend....

I like the idea better when it was called Spy Kids.
This movie looks horrific.

Apparently few saw it, it ended up in third place in Friday's estimates, barely breaking $3 million dollars... (www.boxofficemojo.com)

I took my 10 and 8 year old to see it today. We all enjoyed it. Action and fight scenes were great. Storyline was a little hokey but certainly no more than any James Bond flick I've seen. It's more realistic than the Spy Kids movies. No fantasy stuff here. I give it a B+ rating.

My daughter (9) is also a huge LIzzie McGuire fan .. and she was very keen on seeing this movie, and has been anticipating its release for a while. So I took her and a classmate this afternoon to go see it ... and they both LOVED the movie.

So the movie certainly succeeds in what it set out to do .. to be highly entertaining to a young audience. And it was fairly entertaining for me as an adult .. I have sat through much much worse as a parent.

There is one really funny line at the beginning of the movie, which went over the top of the kids, but I could hear a few parents laugh ..
Spoiler:
Cody Banks (Frankie Muniz) is 15 yrs old and has never dated .. but his 10 yr old brother says he has been on lots of dates. So Cody says, "Sitting in a treehouse doesn't count as a date." .. whereupon Cody's younger brother says, "It is, if you're playing doctor."

I thought that was cute.

Anyway .. to those who are knocking this movie because they feel they are above it all ... well, just select a less easy target. This movie was most likely not made with you as the intended audience, so it really isn't fair knocking it.

No thanks for me although some kids might enjoy this.

I think Rob Schneider is not in the movie so that's a big plus in itself!!

I'm noticing a trend in this thread. Those who actually saw the movie are saying it was a pretty good. The only ones who are trashing it are those who haven't even seen it. I find this amusing.
