Man, what a downer. I always loved his comic performances, like in Fisher King, Patch Adams, Boys Next Door and recently Welcome to Collinwood.

Wow. I didn't know he was HIV+...but when I read the thread title, for some reason, that's the first thing I thought of..

Man, what's gonna happen to Mr. Jingles now?

Nah, this is a damn shame. He was a solid character actor and way to young to leave this earth. I really enjoyed his brief turn as an obnoxious defense attorney in The Gift.

That's really sad news. He was a fine character actor.

I remember seeing an interview with on television -- ET or something -- where he revealed he was HIV positive.

Reading the article, it sounds like it wasn't the HIV/AIDS that was the cause of death, though.

Wow...even my little daughter knows who he is (as Mr. Noodle on Sesame Street).

I somehow recall the interview of him being HIV positive when he was filming "The Fisher King"

Same here. A fine actor he was, always keeping my attention when he was on screen. Fond memories of him in Fisher King, Green Mile, and especially on the TV show Evening Shade. Goodbye.

That's really sad. I just watched Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas a couple of days ago, and he was memorable in that, as he was in Jurassic Park III, Patch Adams, Green Mile, Air Bud, etc.

Absolutely classic in The Fischer King and Fear and Loathing

I heard on ET years ago that he was HIV positive, but he continued to produce an impressive amount of work, despite his illness.

Man, that sucks!

While never a superstar, he was always visible in many projects. He was very much the "Oh, it's that guy," kind of actor when you saw him on screen.

This is just too tragic in light of all the pranks going on today.
