We do not have the same film preference. I love Woody Allen's films and I have about 20 of them. And Fargo is an excellent piece of artistic crime adventure on film.

I did not care too much for Snow Day, and I must agree with Troll as well.

I believe this topic has been covered enough recently. Let's move the Fargo-bashing commentary to one of these two recent threads:

Someone asks this question every so often, and my answer is always the same: Boxing Helena. I laughed so hard at this piece of garbage, that I got thrown out of the theatre. Seriously.

i will now blaspheme

i will most likely get sh** for this..

but, in no particular order:

Scary Movie 2
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

the prior because it was a) worse than the original (which is extremely hard to do in my book, and b) extremely homophobic. don't get me wrong. i'm not a PC wanker, but there is a limit to the number of jokes revolving around homosexuality before it becomes rude, tiresome, and prejudiced.

the latter because it was beating a dead horse. and then beating a dead horse that was already beaten. twice. the jokes got redundant and boring about 1/3 of the way through the movie. i liked all of smith's other films, but this one, despite being "for the fanboys", was unfunny once we got the joke at the 30 minute mark. the cameos and injokes just began to get boring and uninteresting. and the plot wasn't enough to hold me there.

Three come to mind.

Batman and Robin
The Pledge
Return To Paradise

I think Return to Paradise was the Vince Vaughn movie where his friend got busted with pot in some other country. If it's not, then whatever movie that was. It was seriously bad.

I'm not sure how anyone can say Fargo was one of the worst movies ever made. It is easily one of my favorites, but I love the Coen's style.

The whole Woody Allen thing I understand, but don't agree with. You either love him or hate him. And I think he's great! How can anyone not laugh while watching him in Sleeper?

WOW,
Cant believe some of the films people hated here !
Some of the ones people mentioned are some of my favorites...oh well

Luckily for me, I forget the bad ones fairly quickly. Here are some of the ones that lingered:

Battlefield Earth
The Replacements
King Pin
Planet of the Apes (2001)
3000 Miles to Graceland

and the worst movie of all time...

I can top that. There is a version of Caligula where the filmmakers stressed the gross-out factor during the man's reign. I watched about an hour. Then The Scene was shown, and I could watch no longer.

Warning: graphic ickiness to follow.
The Scene showed
Spoiler:
men crawling along the palace floor with gigantic bloody spikes shoved up their butts which were pushed in so far the ends of the spikes came out between the shoulderblades.

I'd rather watch Peter O'Toole in a boring Caligula movie than the version I got to see. Ergh.

Worst movie list:
Manos, Hands of Fate
There's Something About Mary
Batman and Robin (I have a pissing off Joel Shumacher story related to this film)
Anything featuring Woody Allen. Sex symbol my arse.
Scary Movie
Cube (left me extremely unsatisfied)
The Incredible Story of Two Girls in Love
The Taxing Woman (booooring)
Yentl (I detest Baba Streisand)
Westworld (its sequel Futureworld is much better)
Rollerball (1975)
Shock Treatment
Godzilla (Matthew Broderick)
Battlefield Earth (it's a given on these lists)

Another Stakeout and Exit to Eden come to mind mainly because they both contain Rosie O'Donnell.

Almost anything with Freddie Prinze Jr.

Word! That movie totally telegraphs the ending part way through, and it's so trite. The special effects are okay, I suppose, but that's about the run of it. Somebody recommended it to me because it was on the Pi tip, so me and the gang rented and plopped down to watch it and we all thought it sucked.
