The engraved name can be found on the front base of the DVD set.
The extras are exactly the same as the extras on the previous Megastar DVD releases so if the extras on the prior DVD releases were subtitled (such as the making of feature for IA2)then they are subtitled here. If they were not subtitled on the old releases then they are not subtitled here.
Unfortunately, all of the new extras that are exclusive to this set that are found on the first IA special features disc are not subtitled.
If was fascinating to watch the special chronological presentation of all three films.

I mentioned on the previous page, it is on the base of the cardboard box, along with the name that was engraved on the metalic face of the dvd case.

I have no words on the base of my Cardboard box or numbers, in fact nothing mine isnt engraved either, just says Limited Edition.

So I guess people who didnt have them personally engraved get no limited version with a number.

My HKFlix delivery arrived just before Christmas. They packaged it extremely well. No damage, though they did not include the poster or calendar.

This packaging is actually a lot more convoluted and impractical than I thought it would be. I haven't decided whether I like it or not.

One note of warning: When I first removed the photo album I discovered that the binder clips were not closed. All of the pages came flying out. Now I have no idea what order they're supposed to appear in. I guess it doesn't matter, but others may want to be careful when opening it for the first time.

They didn't, but I had to go to the PO anyway because I wasn't home and the box was too big to fit in the mail box.

Also received mine from HKFlix... box was well packaged and no damages. No calender, but did receive a poster.

No numbers anywhere here either... mine also says Limited Edition on the front plate. I don't think the cardboard box was intended to be kept, so why would the numbering be on that? If the number was also suppose to be on the engraved metal plates... I don't see in the pictures posted a few pages back either.

Some clarification:
On the bottom of the outer black box, there is a label with my name and a number: "2044" printed on it.
Now, on the front of the display base, there is a small gold label and an engraving which reads :"Limited Edition" and then has my name on it. There is no number on the label.
Has anyone watched the special chronological presentation of the three films? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

I got my set on Tuesday from HKFlix. It's not numbered and no calander or poster.
I'm slightly disappointed in the appearance. I'm not sure whose fault it is but the outer box is smushed in on one side, even though it was wrapped like the baby jesus inside the shipping box. Also, the hard plastic cover is scratched in many places and has circle marks all over. Anyone else have this problem?

heh this should clarify, what I mean, my name the one engraved on the case, show on the second image, was the name, included with the number at the bottom of the box.

thanks for sharing Brain_F15ting.

i have ordered from angolz after your posting. thanks for the info btw. i have received my dvd set 2 days after dispatched using the reliable EMS shipping method. based on your pix, unless a confirmation from angolz would be issued, i still think that 1660 is the order identification number instead of the "serial number" stamped on the sticker. just in case the 1660 happens to be the actual serial number, i guess.. this is a bad premonition and a cheap way to organize this set... a sticker just won't do... hope no manufacturer would follow this trend in the future.

mine has no limited edition for XXXXXX engraving since it was purchased after the preorder period.. just the title of the boxset "Limited Edition - Infernal Affairs" which i think protected my set from any problem. it looks better IMHO. the dvd set came flawless too with no sratches or cracks whatsoever.. angolz should be commended for this effort. calendar and posters are also included in the package.

also, my friend visited HK this week and according to the vendors, this set was never sold for $60 as one member has posted. $75 is the lowest price and guess what.. you'll get the sets with cracks..

I'm to new to this thread but thought I'd throw in my two cents worth as regards Megastar's 8 Disc LE of "INFERNAL AFFAIRS". First off, I just received mine from a place no one mentioned, that being AZNfilms.com. They're out of San Diego and my set cost $129.00 (13.50 shipping). I've never had any packaging or shipping issues with them since they have their DVD's in stock in their CA store. My case is in perfect condtion (no scratches etc.). There are no limited edition numbers (not that I really care). My set says region 3 but plays perfectly well on my Mustek 56C Region 1 player. I'm just glad to have gotten one so easily without sweating out the custom details and ordering from questionable sources. You all must to to AZN's site they're a small but reputable company. I get the impression that this Region 3 set is Region 0. Has anyone else not been able to play their set on a Region 1 player?
Also what's up with some websites promoting a "pink tinged" see through case????
Glad to be aboard this forum.
The Doug

question

Is the audio problem featured on the original two-disc set of IA3 present on the IA3 disc included in this set, or does this set feature the corrected discs? Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

For you info, HK and sometimes South Korea pressed the DVDs in Region ALL or Region 0 and labelled in Region 3.

All my Region 3 DVD titles (mostly from Hong Kong) were able to play in my PowerBook which is locked at Region 1. I got this South Korean movie, Il Mare which was labelled as R3. Well, it plays fine with my strict PowerBook. That means it's R0 too.

In terms of the stand-alone two-disc set of IA3, is there any way to tell the difference between a set that contains the defective disc and a set that contains the corrected disc? Thanks in advance for your response.

Afraid I don't but I'd assume that if you order from a large retailer you'll be more likely to get a fixed copy. I'd say that CD-Wow would be your best bet.

Fly pages, fly.

I completely forgot about your post. I guess it didn't help that I had just woken up and saw the box on the kitchen table. I also agree that after giving everything a look over, I kind of don’t care for the packaging. The photo album could’ve been way better. Black ink on black pages for some of these images. What the hell is that? I’m actually temped to covert to slim cases. I figure use a slim6 for the three movies. And use a slim5 for the last two disc, remove a flap, trim the pages of the photo album and throw it in there. The only extra's I got, two posters (sort of ok) and a "With Compliments" card (whatever).

I bought mine from hivizone.com When shipped, it arrived in about 1 week.
price 79.00
discount 7.90 (I don't even remember this)
shipping 33.50 (EMS)
total 104.60

Repeat customers at hivizone automatically receive a 10% discount. They also bill in US $ from an American office saving you the currency conversion fee. These 2 factors frequently bring their prices below the competition.

I just want to confirm what a couple other people have stated. My set is labeled Region 3, but I'm playing it in an unmodified Region 1 Playstation 2.

Oh happy day.

I can also confirm that the discs in the Trilogy LE box set are Region 0 and will play in an unmodified American DVD player.
